The Hochegg winery was newly built in 2023 in an impressive location at an altitude of 838 metres above Laives, surrounded by forests and with a breathtaking view of the valley. Guided tours of the winery and tastings only on request.

Classic dishes are reinterpreted using high-quality, local ingredients, and excellent service ensures a perfect dining experience. Every two weeks, a new menu full of fresh ideas is introduced, while the culinary foundation remains deeply rooted in tradition. In addition to traditional specialties, JuMa also offers a standout delicacy: French-style ramshorn snails. The elegant interior and the peaceful terrace surrounded by greenery make JuMa a must-visit for gourmets who appreciate fine cuisine in a relaxed atmosphere.

Quietly located, the plce serves a wide selection of pizza and meat and fish dishes. Just a short walk away from the Kneipp facility and the newly built hiking trail to the Peterköfele – ideal for combining nature and culinary.

The Laimburg Provincial Winery in Vadena is the estate winery of the Province of Alto Adige. It has a whole series of vineyards in every winegrowing region in the province, and it is affiliated with the Laimburg Research Center for agriculture and forestry. So its task is not just to produce outstanding wines, but also to test new paths for Alto Adige winegrowing.

In total, the Laimburg Provincial Winery manages around 20 hectares of grape growing areas at elevations from 200 to 750 meters. “For us, the main focus of our work is maintaining and improving the quality of grapes and wine,” explains winemaker Urban Piccolruaz, “and, in so doing, it is necessary to test simple methods of management that save time and costs.”

From the grapes that are grown that way, around 90,000 bottles of wine are made every year. A portion of them, the estate wines, are traditional vintage wines that are typical of the grape variety. “The Burgselektion wines, on the other hand, are individual and aged primarily in large oak barrels or else they are select wines,” Piccoluraz says.

Since the early 1990s, barrels and bottles have been stored in a special cellar. “The opportunity basically presented itself to create the cellar in the porphyry rock of the Monte di Mezzo,” the winemaker reminisces. In retrospect, this unconventional decision proved itself to be doubly advantageous: on one hand, a cellar was built in which the naturally constant room temperature prevails, while on the other hand, a huge amount of money could be saved in comparison to the classic new construction of a cellar. And because the Laimburg Provincial Winery is in fact just that, the winery of the province, the taxpayers were grateful.

About half of the 20-hectare cultivation area of the old estate is vineyards, thriving under optimal conditions due to their location on a large alluvial cone. Porous porphyry soil, which stores warmth during the day and releases it at night, along with natural ice holes, create a unique, natural microclimate.

Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, and the classic Lagrein find ideal growing conditions on the warm, sandy-stony soils. In harmony with natural conditions, for generations, the vines have been carefully tended and cultivated through meticulous manual labor.

The distinctive, fruity wines offer the highest enjoyment for discerning palates. The longevity of these wines has inspired the H. Lentsch winery to also fill large formats.

Only grapes from their own vineyards, grown under optimal climatic conditions, are processed for the wines. Full-bodied and powerful, elegant and fresh, they stand out for their longevity.

This modern restaurant in Pineta is located right next to a sports facility and serves Italian cuisine with contemporary touches. At lunchtime, a variety of dishes is available; in the evening, oven-baked pizza is added to the menu. The bar also offers breakfast, a quick espresso, or an aperitif on the terrace – a perfect spot for both, food lovers and sports enthusiasts.

At lunchtime, the place offers a reduced menu, while in the evening guests can choose from a wide range of creative meat and fish dishes, as well as pizza. The bright winter garden and small outdoor area create a pleasant and inviting atmosphere.

For our guests we have a big dining room as well as several other smaller rooms and an original Tyrolean “Stube“ where to enjoy traditional South Tyrolean dishes and refined venison dishes. A rich assortment of wines completes our menu and refines each plate. Our inn also disposes of a sunny terrace where you have the possibility to taste delicious homemade desserts and typical "breadbord-snacks". The inn is housed in a historic building directly opposite the old St. Leonard parish church in Bronzolo. Alongside pizza, the menu features traditional South Tyrolean dishes, complemented by a selection of local wines.

Our child-friendly restaurant with our own child room offers place for 210 guests (restaurant 80 people – „Mohren“-room 130 people) and our garden terrace offers additional 120 places. In our „Mohren“-room you can celebrate birthday-parties and other occasions or have business dinners on request.

Cycle tour of approx. 55 km along the Brennero-Bolzano cycle route from Laives/Leifers along the Adige and Isarco rivers to Chiusa/Klausen and Bressanone/Brixen.

Our Café is located in the middle of meadows and only 2 kilometer from the city center of Laives. Close-by you can also find the international bicycle track along the river Adige. We offer a lot of different desserts, such as ice cream or cake. You can relax in our garden with a big children’s playground.

The pizzeria offers a wide variety of pizzas, on request also with wholemeal dough, flour from 7 cereals and cúrcuma flour. The restaurant offers a large selection of meat and fish dishes.

Enjoy the beautiful nature on the cycle route around the Monte di Mezzo/Mitterberg mountain.

Bolzano/Bozen is a popular destination for many cyclists, as the provincial capital is not far from Laives/Leifers and easily accessible.

The Rechtebner Inn is open on Saturdays and Sundays. Hot meals are available by reservation. For groups of 15 or more, opening outside regular hours is possible by prior arrangement. In autumn, the traditional “Törggelen” is offered to all guests. The bar is open daily for house guests, and light meals can be prepared upon request.
