Freeriding is one of the most adrenaline-pumping ways to ride a bike. Mountain bikes are used to descend mountain paths with bumps, jumps and various natural obstacles such as roots, stones and bushes.
In the Gardenaccia Freeride Bike Park, starting from the mountain station of the Gardenaccia chairlift at an altitude of 1,750 m, two routes have been created:
- the first one, more difficult, is for bikers who already have good riding skills, looking for strong emotions
- the second is easier and suitable for less experienced bikers.
The start of the bike park can be reached by taking the Gardenaccia chairlift from La Villa.
At the Gardenaccia chairlift there is the possibility to rent freeride bikes.

With the "Mans Trail" the Bike Beats “menu” offers even more adrenalin. After the Heart, the Eye, the Veins and the Breath, it's time for the Hands. The Trail Mans - in Ladin language hands, of moderate difficulty, calls for a sensitive touch and careful attention while riding along a fun route, where the trick lies in finding the optimal equilibrium between manual technique and balance.

The Bridge Line is a variant for the last section of the Avëna Trail. The path that descends along the last stretch of wood on the slope of Piz Sorega has a spectacular view of the town of San Cassiano.

The Fedaia pass is another colossus when it comes to epic cycling. A long, arduous ascent, particularly in the last kilometres, with inclines of 12% on very long stretches. You are going to need to be fit to take it on!

The Maratona route of the Maratona dles Dolomites is 138 km long with a total elevation gain of 4,230 meters. Cyclists tackle iconic climbs like Passo Campolongo (1,875 m), Passo Pordoi (2,239 m), Passo Sella (2,244 m), Passo Gardena (2,121 m), and the challenging Passo Giau (2,236 m) with slopes reaching up to 15%. After Passo Valparola (2,200 m), riders face the steep Mür dl Giat (1,472 m), a short but tough stretch that tests even experienced cyclists.

Local food and grilled snacks from 11 am to 5 pm on the Gardenaccia slope in La Villa. Dinner with local food every Tuesday and Friday (reservation needed).

The easy MTB tour, marked as "Roda de Armentara", leads through the Armentara meadows at the foot of the mighty Sas dla Crusc. On the route, which is very scenic, it is pleasant to ride and thanks to the small differences in altitude it is also suitable for beginners and families with children.

Spectacular Dolomite peaks and legendary mountain passes: The Sellaronda is one of the most beautiful and popular circular routes in the Alps and offers all kinds of exciting options in winter or in summer. One of these is the Sellaronda mountain biking tour. The tour requires a good level of physical fitness and mountain biking experience, because there are some tricky climbs and a few difficult descents to manage. However, for the last few years there has been the option of avoiding some of the particularly steep climbs by using lifts, making it possible to complete the tour in a day.

Following the Sellaronda MTB Tour Anti-Clockwise there is a total height difference of about 1.020 m to be cycled uphill and several descents through single trails or forest roads. Therefore it is more suited to those who enjoy cycling uphill on your MTB or e-bike. The time needed to complete the tour varies according the ability of the biker: from a minimum 6 to a maximum of 9 hours, with a lunch break included.

The medium route of the Maratona dles Dolomites is 106 km long with a total elevation gain of 3,130 meters. Cyclists tackle legendary climbs like Passo Campolongo (1875 m), Passo Pordoi (2239 m), Passo Sella (2244 m), Passo Gardena (2121 m), Passo Valparola (2200 m), and the steep Mür dl Giat (1472 m). Each climb offers breathtaking views and challenging gradients.

The Odlina track is a variant of the Ödli Trail in the Bike Beats Piz Sorega park.

The route descends through the woods, in flowing curves to rejoin the original Ödli Trail.
Ödli in the Ladin language means eyes. The track, in fact, the easiest of the Bike Beats, is with its of spectacular views a real delight for the eyes.

There are several descents on bike trails, which require a medium level of bike practice. The red trail “Cör” offers a combination of exciting and fun parts, which will make your heart, cör in Ladin, race during the entire ride. Cör is a medium/difficult trail which winds through the woods offering the opportunity for exciting jumps, waves, berms and wallrides. With 1290 m of length and an altitude difference of 142 m, riding your bike on the Cör trail will absolutely get your adrenaline going.

Alta Badia delights gourmets with events themed around 'A taste for Skiing', while cosy mountain huts offer refined regional dishes. Naturally, the skiing conditions at South Tyrol's most tradition-rich ski area are also first-class. Demanding slopes on the Sella massif such as the 'Vallon' ski run or the 'Gran Risa' World Cup giant slalom track in La Villa are for daredevils only. Otherwise, more than half of the pistes in Alta Badia are classified as easy so that even beginners and novices can easily explore the entire ski area with views of the Sasso di Santa Croce, Sassongher and Lavarella mountains. In addition to the famous 'Sellaronda' ski circuit, the 'Peace Tour' around the Col di Lana mountain is a real experience. For it was here that Austrian Gebirgsjäger, as the light-infantry was called, fought against the Italian Alpini during World War I. Cross-country skiers can cross the Armentarola valley diagonally, whilst deep-snow fans can glide from Sass Pordoi through the picturesque Val Mezdì valley to Colfosco.

The Dolomites Bike Day Route is a panoramic circuit of about 50 km that takes the cyclists on some of the epic stages of the "Giro d'Italia" and the Maratona dles Dolomites roadbike marathon. You will cyclie on legendary mountain passes in the heart of the Dolomites UNESCO World Heritage.

There are several routes that extend between South Tyrol and Veneto and that every cyclist can choose independently depending on ability and condition.

Once a year, usually in mid-June, the Campolongo, Falzarego and Valparola passes are closed to motorized traffic from 9 am to 3 pm. On this special day the roads connecting the Ladin valleys Val Badia, Livinallongo and Ampezzo are reserved exclusively for cyclists.

Bike Beats Pralongiá is a trail which goes through the meadows downhill from the Pralongiá. It is a medium-easy trail (blue) with a total length of 1120 metres and an altitude difference of 134 metres.

The route to the Passo delle Erbe offers some of the most stunning scenery in the Dolomites. The green meadows on the northern edge of the Puez-Odle Nature Park and the towering Dolomite peaks accompany cyclists along this tour, which may not be among the most famous in the area, but is certainly one of the most impressive.

Starting from Alta Badia, the route follows relatively low-traffic roads with spectacular panoramic views and occasional technical challenges. On the way to the Passo delle Erbe, cyclists will encounter several sharp hairpin turns and steep climbs, with gradients reaching up to 16%.

The trail “Ödli” is ideal to enjoy the Dolomites in all their beauty. Ödli means eyes in the Ladin language and it is with their own eyes that taking the easiest of the Bike Beats trails, bikers will have the opportunity to admire the magnificent scenery.
The trail extends along the right slope of the Piz Sorega for a total length of 1460 m and an altitude difference of 142 m.

Lovers of adventure on two wheels will find in Alta Badia the BIKE BEATS - ALTA BADIA TRAILS, set up at 2000m in the heart of the Movimënt area. This is a network of dirt tracks or packed sand flow trails, designed between the slopes and forests of the plateau between the villages of Corvara, La Villa and San Cassiano.
Thanks to spectacular northshore sections, bumps and jumps of varying difficulty, fun on the bike is guaranteed. The 5 trails, which vary in difficulty from easy to challenging, are distinguished by their Ladin names, which describe their most characteristic features.
5 trails: Ödli trail (easy - length 1.5 km), Avëna trail (medium - length 2 km), Cör trail (demanding - length 1.3 km), Fle trail (medium - length 1.3 km), Mans trail (medium - length 1.3 km).

The tour through the Val Badia valley runs from north to south and can be started in one of the villages in Alta Badia. Descending the state road 244 your reach Piculin/Piccolino where a climb leads towards San Martin/San Martino and the district of Mirí.

The road to Mirí is a lesser-known secondary road, with relatively little traffic and therefore particularly pleasant to ride. But the climb is not without its difficulties! You need to be in good shape.

Passing the Ciastel de Tor, the castle that houses the "Museum Ladin" we go for a short detour to the quiet mountain village of Longiarù. The return to the starting point follows the same path.

The Jump Line, a variant of the Cör Trail, is the ideal route for experienced and demanding bikers. Riding through woods and meadows you can fill up on adrenaline while having fun on jumps of various heights and sizes. And to experience all the energy of the descent, easy drops and kickers.

The Sellaronda circuit round the Sella massif has long been a winter favourite.

However, in recent years the Sellaronda circuit has also become a popular challenge for cyclists.

The twisty Alpine roads at the foot of the Dolomite peaks are like a dream come true for racing cyclists. The gradients on the circuit are mostly between 8 and 10 %, it is classed as moderately difficult. The asphalt roads are mostly in good condition, although there are small potholes on some sections.

The Furcia Pass Tour is an interesting alternative way of exploring South Tyrol by heading north from Alta Badia.

This stretch has formed part of the famous Giro d'Italia several times and is perfect to train on.

Route: From Pederoa head north on the main road 244 down to Piccolino and Longega. Here you turn off to the right and ride gently uphill on the main road as far as San Vigilio and then on a flat road to Marebbe. Just before the centre of Marebbe head for the Furcia Pass, first climbing gently and then with gradients of 10 % or even 15 %. The road to the Furcia Pass is narrow and has some sharp bends. When you reach the pass (1,758 m), the road winds down again to Valdaora di Sotto. Then you continue gently up and down around the Plan de Corones until you come to Riscone and San Stefano. From here, the gradient is slight to moderate as far as Pliscia. You then head down to Longega, from where you return to Pederoa on the 244 road.

The Giau pass is the great challenge for all those who undertake the marathon Maratona dles Dolomites, 10 km with long sections at 10.5% slope with the last kilometre at 10.2% slope. A climb that will remain among the cyclists’ memories.

The Ödli and Cör trails join at 1700 m of altitude to form the last section of the trail, the Avëna blue trail. Like a vein flowing through the last stretch of the forest until it reaches the valley, the blue trail includes an endless series of very exciting and difficult bends where expert bikers can show their skills.
This medium-difficult trail extends for a little more than 2 km and it is the section in the park with the highest altitude difference, 283 m.

The tour, which starts in San Cassiano, affords the cyclist unique views of some of the most beautiful peaks in the Dolomites.
