Our adventure begins in the Visitor Centre! During a short guided tour we will discover the Dolomites. How did they form? Is it true that they used to be in the sea? What will they become in the future? Why are they so special? How many things are there to learn about these fascinating mountains! And then everyone out! Our adventure continues with an excursion to Lake Toblach. During this hike we can immerse ourselves deeply in nature and learn a lot about it. What are plecoptera larvae? What does their presence indicate? Which animals live in the forest? Do carnivorous plants also exist in the mountains? Many topics will be covered. Each participant will be given an observation magnifier, do you know it? These are useful jars with a magnifying glass on the lid, an indispensable tool for field research. A true Ranger cannot do without one! In the afternoon, back at the Visitor Centre, there will finally be the awarding of the Dolomiti Ranger diplomas! The guide: You will be accompanied by experienced staff members of the Three Peaks Visitor Centre, who are eager to share their passion and knowledge with you and help you discover and learn many new things. Led by experts, the young rangers explore on two adventure days a week the surrounding nature of the Puez-Odle Nature Park. As soon as it gets dark we will enter the forest. We will find that our senses will help us move through the trees without any problems. What do animals do when the lights go out? What about the trees? Which fairy tales arise from the forest and the animals that inhabit it? Why are there legends about giants, dwarves and fairies that have been handed down for centuries? We will find out together by participating in this unique and unforgettable experience. What can we learn from feathers, furs, horns and antlers? What do we have to keep in mind when observing wild animals? When do animals need protection? On this early-morning hike, our young explorers get a chance to sharpen all five senses and, with a bit of luck, even spot a chamois or deer! At the end of the activity, you can continue on to the Fanes/Lavarella or Sennes huts.
