Sparkling wine tasting and guided visit at the Kettmeir winery. The journey starts with a tour of the historic winery and ends with a final wine tasting. Participants will learn the difference between the definitions Brut, metodo classico and doux. They will also discover what the pupitre is used for and what remouage is. Experience and enjoy the blossom in Natz-Schabs. Whether a guided hike with tasting through the apple plantations or a blossom aperitif on the sunny terrace, you will find everything during the Blossom Enjoyment Weeks. From April 28th to May 12th, the high plateau of Natz-Schabs is in bloom, let yourself be carried away by the numerous possibilities and enjoy the beginning of spring.

As part of the guided tour, we look behind the scenes of the Brixen Water Light Festival together with an expert and gain in-depth insights into the world of the light art scene. We visit water points and cultural and historical treasures that local and international artists have transformed into an open-air gallery with their creative ideas.

For the first time, the Bücherwelten exhibition is coming to Museum Ladin. The focus of this year's edition of Bücherwelten "Bildhaft gesagt” (pictorially told) draws attention to a special kind of bookmaking: in many books, the image is not simply a visual complement to the text, but image and text form an inseparable unit in the communication of factual, scientific or narrative content. On this theme, the Museum Ladin Ciastel de Tor will be showing a selection of award-winning works from 2023, new books for children and young people, a Bookstart corner and a selection of Ladin books.

Walther von der Vogelweide, the most important of the German-speaking minnesingers, has left a deep mark not only on literature, but also on Lajen. Thus would Walther von der Vogelweide have probably received us, bidding us “willekomen” to his home of Lajen, which he left in the late 12th century in order to conquer the entire German-speaking world with his songs and poems. Walther was the star minnesinger, the one who knew how to entertain the ladies and gentlemen at court – up to and including numerous crowned heads. As a consummate professional, he knew exactly what his audience wanted to hear, whether it was poems about noble ladies and (not so noble) girls, or works with a more solid content: crown, church, crusades.

In German language. First discover the old and new cellars of the Terlan winery, founded in 1893, see how the wine is made and how the bottles are bottled. Afterwards you can taste: there are four Terlan wines to enjoy. Cost: € 30, € 15 with WinePass guest card. Please book at the tourist office by Thursday, midday. It is strictly forbidden to bring animals, regardless of their species, for viewing and tasting.

ONLY IN GERMAN OR ITALIAN How is honey made, how is a bee colony organised and why are these busy insects that never seem to get tired so important for us? This guided tour into the world of bees and beekeepers provides the answers to questions like these and more. Expert Christian Kessler from the Partschins Beekeeping Association give an overview of the lives of these hard-working little pollinators, show how they work in the open beehive and the amazing social behaviour of bees, and explain how honey gets from the flower to a jar with the “Made in South Tyrol” brand label on it. Equipped with the right protective clothing, participants can marvel at and literally get to grips with the inner life of the bee hive at close quarters. The guided tour also explains the role that the beekeeper plays, what exactly he does and how his activities must be strictly aligned to the course of the bees’ year. Afterwards, participants can discover the outstanding quality of South Tyrolean honey for themselves by tasting various types of honey.

What actually is a star, how is it formed, why does it shine, why and how does it die? Or is it not a star at all but a planet? What are galaxies and can we see them? What is it about our home galaxy, the Milky Way? And how big and how far away are the stars we see with the naked eye? Where do we find our star sign, where the most important constellations? An answer to these and many other questions can be found on a extraordinary night hike with the passionate amateur astronomer and president of the "Max Valier" association Steffi Wolters. The short hike leads from the village centre of Steinegg / Collepietra over the Pstosserbühl to the roof terrace of the Hotel Steineggerhof. There the participants will dive into the depths of the universe. We are taking the Bus at 9.00am from the bus stop "Tires Piazza fontana" until we reach San Caterina. There we start walking. On our way we visit the Chapel of the village with it's frescoes on the outside wall. We're going to pass by several Farms until we reach the last stop Castel Prösels. From there on we take the Bus back to tires. Approx. 4-5 hours of walking.

Guided tour of the Niederlana parish church with the Schnatterpeck altar. A first church was built on this site in the early Middle Ages on Roman foundations. In 1492, the present late Gothic wall pillar church was consecrated. Josef Weingartner counts it among the "most beautiful Gothic churches in the country" in his "Art Monuments of South Tyrol". The Gothic winged altar from the workshop of Hans Schnattpereck is a work of art that is known far beyond the borders of the province.

The family seat of the Counts of Meran in Tyrol is still owned and occupied by the same family today. Historically entwined in the history and fortunes of South Tyrol, Schenna Castle is one of the finest of its many forts and castles. The Villanders mine in the Eisack Valley, with a wide view of the Dolomites, was one of the most important mining areas in Tyrol in the Middle Ages. At that time, silver, galena, copper and much more were mined. The Villanders Culture and Museum Association has carefully restored the mine in recent years. It is now one of the few mines in South Tyrol that is open to visitors. Guided tours only from April to October on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10:30 and 14:30, Sundays at 10:30 (duration approx. 1.5 h) In July & August additionally on Wednesdays at 10:30 (duration approx. 2 h). IMPORTANT: arrive at the mine at least 10 minutes in advance! Individual special tours are available all year round on request. All prices can be found on the mine's website.

The Heufler residence was built in 1580 by the lords of Hohenbühel, "Heufler zu Rasen". It belongs to the group of noble residences that were built by aristocrats in rural areas during the Renaissance. Inside, you can admire the particularly beautiful "Hearnstube" with its Renaissance panelling. Today, the "Hearnstube" is considered one of the most beautiful Renaissance parlours in the entire Alpine region.

Via Bozen-Trient–Verona (short stay at a motorway station), we drive along the motorway to Padua and Venice. Arrival at around 10 a.m. By boat, we make our way to Saint Mark’s square in the centre of Venice. The city is built on 118 islands and offers many palaces and churches, romantic water ways and bridges, which bear witness to the former glory of the town. We stay in Venice for approx. 5 hours and return back via the Val Sugana to Trient and from there to Bozen and Schenna.

The special exhibition at Taufers Castle deals with the medieval theme of "popular belief", which combines religious aspects with superstition. Curated by Marie Rubner, it can be seen from March 29 to November 3, 2024.
The exhibition shows a view of the world that was influential until the Enlightenment and is still influential today. It does not judge, but provides insights into religious customs, rituals and the belief in otherworldly powers.
Popular belief sought to harness otherworldly powers in order to achieve safety, health and salvation.
The exhibition presents texts, exhibits and images, including unicorns, basilisks and thinkers.
Although it does not draw any conclusions, the exhibition opens our eyes to the importance of popular beliefs in society. It also shows how the focus on popular belief affects historical conflicts of faith.
It becomes clear that popular belief filled gaps in the Christian understanding of faith by turning to powers beyond. At the same time, the Catholic understanding of faith opposed pagan cults with sacramental alternatives.
A visit to the exhibition can reveal further insights and invites you to visit several times.

During the family-friendly Discovery Tour, adults and children can learn all about the life of Ötzi the Iceman: At the archeoParc Museum, you’ll find various different challenges for you to overcome. Using your Discovery Kit, you’ll visit a Stone Age house, bake some break, and try on some of Ötzi’s clothing.
