The Haflingerhof is one of the highest-altitude farmsteads in South Tyrol, and welcomes guests throughout the year. It offers chiefly horseback rides to refreshment stations, meadows, and mountain summits. But even inexperienced horseback riders can learn the basics.

The farmstead is approx. 8 km from Sarnthein / Sarentino Village, at an altitude of 1,600 meters above sea-level, with a magnificent view.

Immerse yourself in the forest, in a snowy fairy-tale landscape, surrounded by the Dolomites and characterised by slowness. Horse-drawn sleigh ride through the forest and visit to the Runch farm in Badia, a dairy farm with horses and cows, and a little surprise.

In winter, the club offers an experience for young and old of a very special kind: sleigh rides with the beautiful horses in a cozy wooden sleds for maximum 2 persons. Directly from the stables then it comes in a beautiful winter landscape to Talschlusshütte where can strengthen at a comfortable rest horses and sledders. Overall, a sleigh ride takes about 2 hours.

At the beginning of the forest of Monticolo, there is a signpost that indicates the horse riding association “Überetscher Reitverein”. This is where you can find more than 60 mews for horses, that are treated and cared for in a species-appropriate manner. For adults and children the riding club offers the possibility to get in direct contact with the horses. Horse riding lessons and longer rides can be booked, as the surroundings are perfect to be discovered on the horseback.

In the riding school you will find the only equestrian center of the valley with indoor riding. On request also horse-drawn sleigh ride.

We offer you horse carriage rides in summer and winter - a special experience in Ahrntal valley!

The trail starts in San Genesio and goes on above the Salto, until the parking space Schermoos and the mountain hut Lanzenschuster. Just follow the trail n° 5 to the Jenesiener Jöchl and n° 23 till the Men of Stone. 

Our riding arena (30x50m) provides an unobstructed riding fun in the open air, with breathtaking views of the Sesto Dolomites and a large selection of beautiful treks directly from the farm. The obvious choice for hourly and day rides, riding lessons for adults and children, taster and long hours.
