Sparkling wine tasting and guided visit at the Kettmeir winery. The journey starts with a tour of the historic winery and ends with a final wine tasting. Participants will learn the difference between the definitions Brut, metodo classico and doux. They will also discover what the pupitre is used for and what remouage is. What better way to celebrate Spring’s reawaking than at start of the Martell Valley. An organized hike leads past Obermontani Castle and the ruins of Untermontani, where the original manuscript of the Song of the Nibelungs dating to 1323 was discovered. Crossing through the fascinating countryside around Laces/Latsch we reach Goldrain Castle to discover a Renaissance gem. Walking time: 3.5 hours Guided tour Castle: 1 hour

Walther von der Vogelweide, the most important of the German-speaking minnesingers, has left a deep mark not only on literature, but also on Lajen. Thus would Walther von der Vogelweide have probably received us, bidding us “willekomen” to his home of Lajen, which he left in the late 12th century in order to conquer the entire German-speaking world with his songs and poems. Walther was the star minnesinger, the one who knew how to entertain the ladies and gentlemen at court – up to and including numerous crowned heads. As a consummate professional, he knew exactly what his audience wanted to hear, whether it was poems about noble ladies and (not so noble) girls, or works with a more solid content: crown, church, crusades.

Local history tells that one of the oldest Baptist churches of the surroundings was rising on this beautiful square. Today, the Parish Church stands on an even older site dating back to the preromanesque period (lombard-carolingian architecture) and is one of the rare examples of a cross-domed church with central nave and side naves.

On request, the tasting can be organised with a focus on Chardonnay (4 wines), Pinot Nero (5 wines) or autochthonous grape varieties (7 wines). The fossil museum is designed as an outdoor museum and is accessible to interested visitors at any time and explains itself by means of texts and audio stations. A guided tour for a group of the museum with one of our local experts is highly recommended. Booking is possible by means of direct requests to the tourist office: info@moelten.net It is now a long time – 260 million years – since trees resembling today’s araucaria grew in Mölten/Meltina. The ginkgos produced feathery leaves, while tree-high horsetails stood between the village of Mölten/Meltina and the Möltner Kaser hut. It is astonishing that clearly identifiable forms of these South Tyrolean primeval forests remain: trees fell into the riverbank or were carried along by the current, embedded in sand and finally transformed into fossils. They can now be seen in the Fossil Museum, which was revitalised in 2023 and designed as an outdoor exhibition. It shows the best of the finds from the area around Mölten/Meltina. Particularly noteworthy are the fossil tree and plant remains, some 260 million years old, as well as the footprints of a small reptile. What is special about the fossils in Mölten/Meltina? There are only three places in South Tyrol where plant fossils from the Late Permian have been recovered: the Bletterbach Gorge; Seceda; and Mölten/Meltina. The finds from Mölten/Meltina are the only ones that reveal entire trees. Details of their growth, their branches, roots and size are all clearly visible, which makes it possible to reconstruct entire forests. The Fossil Museum has a fully equipped multifunctional room that can be hired for events for up to 30 people.

The MuseumHinterPasseier combines culture and nature in one. During your visit to the Bunker Mooseum you will learn interesting facts about the Texel Group Nature Park, contemporary history and much more. You can even experience ibexes up close. The tour continues via the impressive Stieber waterfall to the Stieber Museum, which is the oldest hydroelectric power station in Moos/Moso and can be visited from the inside. For the first time, the Bücherwelten exhibition is coming to Museum Ladin. The focus of this year's edition of Bücherwelten "Bildhaft gesagt” (pictorially told) draws attention to a special kind of bookmaking: in many books, the image is not simply a visual complement to the text, but image and text form an inseparable unit in the communication of factual, scientific or narrative content. On this theme, the Museum Ladin Ciastel de Tor will be showing a selection of award-winning works from 2023, new books for children and young people, a Bookstart corner and a selection of Ladin books.

With our hiking guide Helmuth we start at the village square in Laion and hike over the Walther from the Vogelweide trail towards Novale. We visit some stations about its history and make a short detour to the birthplace of the famous Minnesinger. Arriving at the Castle Forte, we visit the former home of Oswald von Wolkenstein, one of the most impressive castle complexes in South Tyrol. On this organised cultural e-bike tour, learn of the strange and sad story marked by the sunken church tower of the former village of Curon/Graun submerged beneath the lake waters. The small 14 th Century Romanesque church bears silent testimony to the damming up of the artificial lake shortly after the end of the Second World War. The former military bunkers are another leftover of the interwar period. Visit the bunker at the source of the Etsch river, with a local guide to explain the history of South Tyrol. Immerse yourself in the world of apples and learn interesting facts about the harvesting, processing, packaging and marketing of Val Venosta apples. Minimum participants: 4 persons

An exhibition journey in the evocative tower of the castle Ciastel de Tor between the north and the south of the paintings of Siegward Sprotte (1913-2004). The north - Germany, where he lived, and the south - South Tyrol, where he stayed, are the compass by which he orientated himself. The island of Sylt, with its waves and colourful horizons, and Colfosco, with its mountains and trees tousled by snow, the two extremes of an immense geography called art. More than just stones: The world of minerals is not only exciting, but also full of surprises and stories surrounding these natural witnesses of history – especially here in South Tyrol. A guided tour of the Mineral museum at the Natznerhof farm brings interested visitors closer to the history and curious facts surrounding the collection of over 1,500 minerals from 50 different countries. A collection of the traditional costume "Rittner Tracht" from the 18th century to the present day. On Wednesdays and Fridays from 4–6 p.m. in the historic Commandery Lengmoos. Last entry: 5.30 p.m., Admission: € 4, free with RittenCard. The traditional costume has a long tradition on the Ritten/Renon, which is still cultivated by associations and organisations today. It is very important for us to preserve this living cultural asset for the future and make it accessible to a broad public.

At the time, all across the region, pilgrim hospices were built to cater to pilgrims on their journey to Rome and provide for the poor. And so, a hospice was erected at the Saint Ulrich Pass in Lengmoos

After visiting the marble world and taking a short stroll through the marble village, you will be culinary tempted during the chocolate and praline tasting.

Guided tour of the church and visit to the Romanesque three apses church of St. Margarethen. It is one of the Romanesque sites in South Tyrol and represents an art-historical treasure of European value. On the Romanesque Road you will come across numerous documents from earlier times. From the "Foolish Virgins" and the "Dumpling Eater", to one of the oldest churches in Tyrol, the smallest town in the Alps and the highest Benedictine monastery in Europe, as well as other Romanesque frescoes and sites of unspeakable value, these are all part of the "Stairway to Heaven" project.
