Südtirol Marketing's sponsor prize for young photographers has as its objective the furthering of young photographers.Photo journalists working in the print and on-line media, photographers (travel and picture story photographers), trainee photographers and design students from Germany, Austria, Switzerland, photographers from Italy, the UK, the Benelux countries, Poland and the Czech Republic, are eligible to enter.
The competition carries a prize of 3,000 € for the winning photographer.
Who?
Photo journalists working in the print and on-line media, photographers (specialising in travel and picture-story photography), as well as trainee photographers and design students from Germany, Austria, Switzerland, photographers from Italy (except for South Tyroleans), the UK, the Benelux countries, Poland and the Czech Republic are eligible to enter the Südtirol Marketing sponsor prize for young photographers.
Max. age: 30.
How?
Competitors should send in a min. of 8 and max. of 10 photographs (any theme - printed copies and CD by post) to be received by 31st March 2010.
A preliminary selection of 6 will be made from the photographs entered. The authors will subsequently be invited to South Tyrol from the 1st of May to 15th of December 2010 to take part in a photo shooting session. The theme is chosen in accordance with the themes competitors in the sponsorship award for young journalists are exploring. The photo research takes place together with the journalistic research. The precise date for the research projects can be chosen by the competitors and agreed upon with the journalists. The themes will be decided in agreement with Südtirol Marketing corporation.
The deadline for receipt of the South Tyrol photos (minimum 8, maximum 10 pictures. 300 dpi, A4 size paper) is 15th January 2011.
An international jury will then evaluate the photographs. The prize for the winning photographs will be awarded in February 2011 in South Tyrol.
Only one entry per competitor for the Südtirol Marketing (SMG) sponsor prize will be allowed.
