The iconic mountain for Ladin people

Right in the heart of the Dolomites

Sas dla Crusc in Ladin, Heiligkreuzkofel in German or Sasso di Monte Croce in Italian: names in three different languages for the same mountain massif in the Ladin Dolomites. By standing in front of it, the Sas dla Crusc looks unconquerable– but when you are on top of it, it's you who feel invincible and proud of having reached the finish line. Back in the valley, you can enjoy a real nature's spectacle in the evening: during the Alpenglow, called "Enrosadira", the pale rock faces of the Dolomites turn reddish. Autumn more than other seasons, with its golden trees and vivid distant panoramas, makes the spectacle even more appealing.

Walking at the foot of Sas dla Crusc

Delicate flower meadows and rugged peaks: it's a charming contrast. While hiking, cycling and running round the Sas dla Crusc or on your way to the summit, you can experience the landscape consciously.

The world's most awe-inspiring mountains
