South Tyrol’s closest airports are Innsbruck to the north and Verona to the south. Flight connections are extensive and allow travellers to travel independently. South Tyrol is less than two hours by car from Verona and Innsbruck.

Additional airports in the area include: Munich, Venice, Treviso, Bergamo and Milan. South Tyrol’s airport is located in Bolzano/Bozen. Direct flights to Bolzano are currently not available.

Bolzano Airport

South Tyrol’s Bozen Dolomiten regional airport is located on the southern outskirts of the capital city. Direct flights to Bolzano are currently not available.

Innsbruck Airport

Innsbruck Airport is located approx. 120 km north of Bolzano/Bozen and is an ideal airport for South Tyrol’s holidaymakers.

From Innsbruck to South Tyrol by bus and train
The F bus line from Innsbruck Airport arrives at Innsbruck main station every 15-30 minutes. The bus leaves from the airport’s main building and the journey to Innsbruck’s main station takes approx. 20 minutes.

Travel to South Tyrol by shuttle bus service and Deutsche Bahn (German Railways)
The shuttle service departs from Verona Airport to Verona Porta Nuova train station. Take advantage of the DB/ÖBB (German and Austrian Railways) combined shuttlebus and train ticket to get to South Tyrol at a reasonable price. Tickets can be booked in all Deutsche Bahn (DB) AG travel centres, in licensed travel agencies as well as at the departure terminal counter opposite the check-in counters in Verona Airport (marked with the DB logo).

Generally speaking, South Tyrol can be reached in less than 4 hours by car or train from the Munich, Venice, Treviso, Bergamo and Milan airports.

Munich Airport

Munich Airport is located approx. 300 km north of Bolzano/Bozen. Several operators provide transfer services from Munich Airport to South Tyrol.

Venice Airport

Treviso Airport

Treviso Airport is located approx. three hours by car from South Tyrol.
