Actually . . . our house should be called "Three suns" because we have almost three times as many sunny days here as in Noth-Central Europe. This allows for walks along pleasant paths and hiking in the splendid alpine parkland. Your host leads hikes once a week. In addition, you can expect: Mountain railroads, aerial cableways and circulating gondola systems, folk and church art, lots of sporting opportunities such as swimming, horseback riding, tennis, fishing, etc.Most importantly, however, the mild climate of the Rittner Plateau and the noiseless natural landscape with its fragrant air awaits you.

About the region

Enjoy both impressive views of nearby Dolomite peaks as well as a Mediterranean atmosphere. The fertile wine region of Bolzano and Environs extends from Sarntal valley via the state capital Bolzano, to Salorno/Salurn. Located at between 200 and 3,000 m above sea level, possibilities for an active holiday abound throughout the year. Holidays in Bolzano and Environs are a feast for the senses.


In the expansive southern valley, visitors can marvel at vineyards and castles, as well as apple orchards and idyllic villages. Further north, near the state capital, admire traditional mountain farms and craggy Alpine peaks. Outstanding local wines and the mouth-watering flavours and aromas of local specialities, such as asparagus and chestnuts, whet the appetite. Both peace and a flair for the dramatic are on hand in Bolzano and Environs.
