Hotel description
The Chalet on lake Reschen This beautiful traditional chalet is a jewel. Situated on a nearby hill with spectacular views of this unique lake and its stunning surroundings. Lake Reschen is an ideal destination for outdoor enthusiasts, families or for people who just want a break in the nature. Reschen itself offers a range of activities for all ages from walking, sailing, kiting, windsurfing, cycling or even pedal boating on the lake. Within three minutes’ drive you can find yourself in the town centre of Reschen. You’ll find all your essentials including great restaurants, shops and bars. Reschen is located on a border region. The Austrian – Italian boarder, the Reschen Pass, is just minutes away. Italy, Austria and Switzerland are close by, making day trips that bit more exciting… For example, going to Samnaun(toll free shopping), St.Moritz or Nauders. The Holiday home offers one double bedroom with a big double bed. It includes a typical Tyrolian living room called a “Stube” with a traditional wood oven burner, bunk beds, satellite TV and a corner table with chairs. This traditional room makes your stay instantly cosy and comfortable. The holiday house also has a fully equipped kitchen and a standard bathroom. In front of the house there is a generous size lawn with sun loungers to soak up the summer sun. A holiday in this chalet on lake Reschen is an unforgettable experience. The chalet is a very special place and can be enchanting by its charm and character. Are you interested in a holiday that offers something else? We are looking forward to your visit. In winter our family enjoy this chalet, so unfortunately it is not available.

About the region

The sunniest valley in the Alps as well as the highest mountain in South Tyrol, ‘King’ Ortler, are but a stone’s throw away in Vinschgau, the westernmost part of South Tyrol. Character and creativity in this border region are expressed by the unique products and rich cultural and artistic treasures to be discovered against the backdrop of contrasting and dramatic landscapes.

The waters of the Reschensee lake guard the secrets of a famous sunken church. A view out across the lake towards its lonely church tower, surrounded by snowkiters or sailboats, exemplifies the blending of culture and possibilities for activity on holidays in Vinschgau. Discover for yourself the varied landscapes bathed in light as well as the creativity and peculiarity of the people of Vinschgau during a ride on the Vinschgau Train. View numerous castles and forts in the wide and sun-spoiled valley, dubbed the patchwork quilt of South Tyrol. As you travel further along, the Ortler peak appears larger than life. Hop out and enjoy the bounty that surrounds you, from Vinschgau apricots to specialties like Paarl bread. Stroll along the Waalwege paths or bike to Glorenza/Glurns, the smallest city in Italy, where you can head back in time to the middle ages.
