46th carnival parade in Laives/Leifers Themed carnival floats, special dances and choreographies, sweets, fun, and a colorful array of costumes: the grand Carnival parade has become a tradition and an integral part of the community in Laives. Program: 10 am | carnival floats on display along via Kennedy (from the intersection with via Dante to the Eurospar supermarket) 1 pm | start of the parade in via Kennedy, Laives/Leifers 4 pm | arrival of the parade in Pineta/Steinmannwald with subsequent award ceremony with music and refreshments until 6 pm on the piazzetta Don Domenico Penner. A shuttle train will provide free and continuous service on the Laives - Pineta route until the end of the event. In the park at Pineta there will be entertainment for children and a best mask contest will take place. In the event of bad weather, the event will be postponed to Sunday 2nd March 2025. Carnival parade in Deutschnofen | Nova Ponente. Start at 2:30 p.m. from the Bar Luise in the direction of the village square, followed by an award ceremony for the best carnival floats and foot troupes. Extrametric is the solo project of Berlin-based drummer Katharina Ernst, who has made a name for herself with her innovative approach to polyrhythms. Born in Vienna, Ernst is one of the most exciting drummers of her generation. With Extrametric, she explores the complexity of polyrhythms and creates music that ranges from groovy tracks to abstract compositions and ecstatic outbursts on the drumset. Katharina Ernst has performed extensively throughout Europe with Extrametric, wowing audiences with her virtuosity and creativity. The Banishing of Winter in Prato allo Stelvio The banishing of winter and the race of the Zussl are ancient traditional customs practiced only in Prato allo Stelvio. Every year at this time, there is a carnival procession and a noisy ritual repeated exactly the same way. On Shrove Tuesday the town’s youth wear white costumes adorned with colored flowers made of paper and large bells, some as heavy as 20 kg, are worn around the waist of the males. The Zussl are dressed in white from head to toe and adorned with colored ribbons and paper pulp flowers. Tied around their waists, they wear large noisy bells, which often weigh over 20 kilos.

Wine Festival at the festival ground of Tramin organized by the soccer club. You are invited to taste many typical dishes, served up with good live music and excellent wines from the local wineries.

This year's motto ‘Gossywood Verkehr(t)’ (Gossywood traffic) addresses the current topic of the precarious traffic situation at the Brenner Pass and issues relating to gender and transsexuality. In addition to the big parade, the highlights of this year's programme include a big raffle and the reopening of old village discos.
