The Bergkastel trail leads from the Stieralm downhill to the junction of the cycle path (Bergkastel valley station). The trail is a natural single trail with short pedalling sections. The trail is equipped with north shores, doubles and occasional tables. In parts, you reach the natural forest floor. At the bottom, a cycle path leads back to the Bergkastel valley station.

The mountain bike tour from Karthaus to the Klosteralm is a rewarding ride that blends nature with cultural heritage. It begins in the quiet village of Karthaus, once home to the Carthusian monastery “Allerengelberg”, and follows a peaceful forest road up into the alpine world. 
The gravel path ascends steadily through a dense mountain forest, making it suitable even for less experienced riders looking for a scenic challenge. Along the way, panoramic views open up over the Schnals Valley and the surrounding peaks. 
After gaining around 800 meters of elevation, the Klosteralm awaits at approximately 2,150 meters. Nestled among open alpine meadows, this traditional mountain hut is a tranquil retreat. During the summer months, guests can enjoy hearty South Tyrolean dishes and warm hospitality – the perfect reward before heading back down to the valley.

Bike tour Saltaus/Saltusio - Prenn - Meran/Merano - Saltaus/Saltusio              

Nestled between the Endkopf "Jaggl" (2,627 m) and Pleisköpfl (2,425 m) lies the destination, the Grauner Alm alpine pasture, at 2,173 m. Start the tour in Graun at 1,500 m. For a quick warm up, follow the road into the Langtauferer valley. After 250 m, turn right over the bridge and pedal up through the shady Arluiwald forest on a mainly pleasant incline on the alpine path to the Grauner Alm alpine pasture. There is a possibility to park your mountain bike at the mountain pasture and continue on foot via hiking trail no. 10 to the summit of the Endkopf (2,652 m). Duration of hike: approx. 2.5 hours (ascent and descent). On the hiking path to the peak, it's possible to spot some rare edelweiss flowers and marmots. Lying in the grass on the slope, enjoy the sensational panorama and head back down to the valley via the alpine path to stop by the village for a good meal.

The mountain bike tour from Madonna di Senales to the idyllic Mastaunalm is a real insider tip for anyone wishing to discover the unspoiled beauty of the Schnalstal Valley on two wheels. The route leads through a wild and romantic larch forest, alongside the rushing Mastaun stream, always accompanied by views of the surrounding three-thousand-meter peaks.

Starting from the small pilgrimage site of Madonna di Senales, the gravel path gently climbs through the untouched Mastauntal Valley – a true gem in the Ötztal Alps. The ascent is steady yet manageable, and rewards riders with a profound sense of peace far from the tourist crowds. At 1,810 meters, the Mastaunalm is a real treasure: nestled in a soft alpine landscape, it offers not only breathtaking views but also the warm hospitality South Tyrol is known for.

The mountain bike tour from Jägerrast to the historic Eishof is one of the most scenic routes in the Texel Group Nature Park. Set within the wild beauty of the Pfossental Valley, the trail leads through one of South Tyrol’s most unspoiled alpine landscapes.
Starting at the Jägerrast inn (approx. 1,700 m), the tour follows a wide and well-maintained alpine road that climbs gently into the valley. The ascent is moderate, while the scenery becomes more impressive with every turn: rushing streams, blooming alpine meadows, and rustic huts line the way.
After about 300 meters of elevation gain, the destination is reached: the Eishof, located at 2,069 meters and one of the oldest alpine farms in South Tyrol. Surrounded by towering peaks, this quiet alpine refuge is open in summer and offers traditional South Tyrolean food – a perfect spot to rest, refuel, and reconnect with nature.

Bike tour Riffian/Rifiano - Trail along the Passer River Causeway - Riffian/Rifiano       

The starting point of this trail, which leads downhill throughout, is the mountain restaurant just below the mountain station. With the partly quite direct line choice, the Eleven Trail is one of the longer descents on the Mutzkopf and it reaches directly below the valley station.

The train of the Bozen-Meran line is ideal for enhancing your cycling experience in South Tyrol. There is one bike hire service at the train station Merano and another one at the Messe railway station Bozen Sud, both being available from mid June to mid September.

Bikes can be borrowed and returned at different stations. The borrow service includes a cycling helmet. For our little guests who are still too small to cycle by themselves there are children’s seats available. In addition, there are special tandems and multi-purpose trailers (also for dogs).

The price of transporting a bike & a person is the same as the price per person, which is EURO 7. A day ticket can be bought at the ticket office.

Bikemobil Card:   This combi ticket can be used for all public transport (bus, train, lift facilities) in all of South Tyrol. In addition, on one day of your choice, you can also borrow a bike at one of the numerous borrow-a-bike stations with the ‘Südtirol Rad’ symbol (Bike South Tyrol). Borrowed bikes can be returned at any of the ‘Südtirol Rad’ hire stations. A fabulous way to discover South Tyrol!

Anche questo single trail ha tanto da offrire. Parte sopra Spin e rappresenta un interessante raccordo per San Valentino e per la funivia della malga San Valentino; vi accompagnerà lungo il crinale sempre in direzione sud. L'imbocco si raggiunge alla fine della parte inferiore dello Spin Trail. 

The clockwise Sellaronda MTB TOUR involves relatively few uphill metres to cycle (about 370 m), thanks to the use of lifts that allow the transport of mountain bikes and e-bikes. There are numerous trails that require good riding technique. The total time varies according to riding ability: from a minimum of 5 to a maximum of 9 hours, including lunch break.

Absolute flow fun for young and old in the Trail Arena Val Gardena, the bike park with the most beautiful panorama in the Alps. The 5 flow trails, 2 of which in the Dantercepies zone (Cir Tiera and Cir Giara), which can be reached with the Dantercepies cable car from Selva or with the Cir chairlift from the Gardena Pass, and 3 in the Plan de Gralba/Piz Seteur zone (Family Line, Jump Line, Paravis), which can be reached with the Piz Seteur cable car and the Gran Paradiso chairlift, are medium-difficulty (blue/red – S1/S2) and framed by a breathtaking Dolomite panorama. Those who like it challenging and want an adrenaline kick can also take the Freeride Ciampinoi: this freeride route starts just below the mountain station of the Ciampinoi cable car, which starts in the centre of Selva di Val Gardena.

The mountain bike tour from Madonna di Senales to the scenic Lafetzalm offers an ideal mix of outdoor activity and breathtaking alpine landscapes. This lesser-known route leads through tranquil forests and across sunlit slopes, always accompanied by impressive views of the Ötztal Alps.
The tour starts in the quiet village of Madonna di Senales. A steadily ascending forest road winds past traditional mountain farms and through peaceful coniferous woods. With each turn, the views become wider until the trail opens up to the high pastures and the charming Lafetzalm at around 2,050 meters. During summer, the alpine hut is open and serves traditional South Tyrolean dishes – a perfect spot to rest and enjoy the view before the relaxed descent back to the valley.

The Bike Highline Meran/o links up with the pastures on the Nörderberg mountain, permitting cyclists to cross it at an altitude of 1,450 – 1,900 m, from the west to the east and vice versa. One reaches the Bike Highline Meran/o through various Uphills, or by utilizing either the Aschbach cableway or the shuttle service. From the Bike Highline Meran/o there are various single and forest trails returning back down into the valley. The stretch between the Tablanderalm and Mauslochalm mountain pastures is technically challenging All other routes are generally accessible & do not present complications.

Bike tour Moos/Moso - Pill/Bovile - "Hütt" - Bergkristall - Pfelders/Plan - Moos/Moso

The tour is physically demanding, but not technically difficult – ideal for ambitious bikers seeking solitude and a deep nature experience.
After about 1,000 meters of elevation gain, the destination is reached: Penaudalm, at around 2,316 meters, nestled in an awe-inspiring high alpine setting. Up here, time seems to stand still. In summer, South Tyrol’s highest managed alpine dairy serves simple regional dishes – a true taste of Alpine culture, far from the everyday. (In 2025, the hut will remain closed.)

The bike skills park in Tarres is ideal for learning the right technique for the wonderful bike tours and single trails in the Laces-Martello vacation area. Here you will learn to correctly assess and master bends, steps, bridges, ramps, humps and many other obstacles so that you are well prepared to ride the trails.

The mountain bike tour from Katharinaberg to the Moaralm, the oldest high alpine pasture in the Tyrolean region, is a scenic and enjoyable route for those who want to experience the sunny side of the Schnals Valley. With a moderate incline and stunning views, it’s ideal for pleasure riders, families, or as a shorter afternoon ride. 
Starting in the picturesque village of Katharinaberg, a well-maintained forest road climbs steadily above the sunny slope of the valley. Along the way, beautiful vistas open up over the lower Schnals Valley and the surrounding mountains. Sunshine, mountain scenery, and the peace of nature accompany every pedal stroke.
The Moaralm sits at around 2,099 meters, nestled in a tranquil alpine landscape. Managed during the summer months, it offers hearty South Tyrolean specialties. A place to pause, enjoy, and breathe deeply in the mountain air.

The Vinschger railway is ideal for enhancing your cycling experience in South Tyrol. Due to the new Vinschger railway, the Vinschgau region can also now be discovered by a combination of train and bike. The railway connects the garden village of Lagundo aslike the spa town of Meran with the village of Mals. There are six railway stations along the line that offer a bike borrow service (mid April to beginning of November): Meran, Naturns, Latsch, Spondinig, Schlanders and Mals.

Bikes can be hired and returned at different stations. The hire service includes a cycling helmet. For our little guests, who are still too small to cycle by themselves, there are children’s seats available. In addition, there are special tandems and multi-purpose trailers (also for dogs).

Due to the incredible success of bike admittance on trains, there was not enough space on the trains for passengers and bikes. For this reason, restrictions had to be applied at that time. This restriction is still valid at the railways stations of Meran and Algund if you enter with your bike for the journey going towards the Vinschgau region. If this applies to you at some stage, you can use an alternative service: the bike shuttle. This bus runs six times daily from Meran to Mals, i.e. at 9.16 am / 9.46 a.m. / 9.46 a.m. / 10.16 a.m. / 11.16 a.m. / 4.16 p.m. and 5.16 p.m. Afterwards, your bike can be picked up at one of the bike borrow stations of your choice, which are at the following stations: Naturns, Latsch, Schlanders, Spondinig or Mals.

The mountain bike tour from Kurzras to the Lazaun Hut is a short but impressive climb to the sunny Lazaun Plateau in the rear part of the Schnalstal Valley. It’s perfect for athletic riders and those looking to enjoy breathtaking views in a short amount of time. 
From the glacier village of Kurzras (2,011 m), a forest road winds its way uphill in several switchbacks through larch and stone pine forests. The steady ascent is rewarded with stunning views of the surrounding three-thousand-meter peaks – from the Finailspitze to the majestic Weißkugel.
After around 400 meters of elevation gain, the destination is reached: the Lazaun Hut at 2,430 meters. On the sunny terrace of this summer-managed mountain hut, visitors can enjoy homemade South Tyrolean specialties and gain insight into the protected alpine moor located on the high plateau.

This scenic mountain bike tour takes you across the sunny plateau of Nova Ponente/Deutschnofen – one of the most breathtaking natural landscapes in South Tyrol. The 37 km circular route starts and ends at the mountain station of the Kohlern/Colle cable car in Bolzano/Bozen and includes 750 m of elevation gain. A perfect blend of nature, physical activity and stunning views – best enjoyed from late spring to autumn.

A combined tour by mountain bike and on foot in the heart of South Tyrol to the summit of the Rittner Horn. From Oberbozen to the Schwarzseespitze and the Rittner Horn. Bike & hike to the 360° panoramic summit in the heart of South Tyrol.

From the top station of the Ritten cable car in Oberbozen through light-flooded forests and meadows to Pemmern. With the cable car you "float" to the Schwarzseespitze (2,069 m) and from there you hike on comfortable paths to the summit of the Rittner Horn at 2,260 m, from where you can enjoy a unique panorama of South Tyrol's mountain world. A combined tour by mountain bike and on foot in the heart of South Tyrol.

This MTB tour starts in Oberbozen at the mountain station of the cable car Ritten and follows the road in a westerly direction (sign and marking no. 2), at the fork in the road near the stores slightly uphill to the Zagglermoos and left through the small commercial zone to the beginning of the "Wald-Wild-Wunder-Weg". Here you turn left into the "Stauseeweg" (the family hiking trail is a pushing trail for bikers) until you reach the "Lobishof". Continue along the wide hiking trail (marking 18 A) to the "Bacherle", past the "Moserhof" to the country road (be careful at the junction). Here you turn right and follow the road for about 100 m to the bus stop in Riggermoos. Now cross the road to the left and walk moderately steep (marking no. 6) through the sparse "Gunggelwald" forest to the Tann. At the bus stop "Tann" follow the road with little traffic or the flanking footpath (marking no. 1) to Pemmern. At the valley station of the mountain railroad you buy the ticket for the entertaining ride, which saves you about 500 meters of ascent. Here a magnificent panorama opens up, from the western Dolomites, to the Brenta and Ortler groups, to the Ötztal Alps. Now you hike along the comfortable alpine path (marking no. 19 and later no. 1) on a slight incline to the "Unterhorn" and from there slightly ascending to the Rittner Horn shelter, which is located directly on the summit. The descent is again via trail no. 1 to the Unterhornhaus and always following trail no. 1 to the Schönalm and back to the bicycle parking area to Pemmern (1,538 m).

The new Barbarossa trail at Laces’ Monte Tramontana guarantees pure trail fun for everyone (S2). The uphill starts in Laces and requires good physical condition due to challenging climbs and a difference in altitude of 1300m. Alternatively, you can take the chairlift to comfortably reach Malga di Tarres (Laces – valley station of the chair lift: difference in altitude of 600m).

Having arrived at Malga di Tarres, you can enjoy a wonderful view and look forward to the flowing descent on the new Barbarossa Trail that owes its name to “trail builder and doctor” Gabriel Tappeiner. This trail with a length of 4.5 km and a difference in altitude of 600 m winds through the dense forest and lets cyclists’ hearts beat faster thanks to beautiful cross passages and different curves.

The Altrei circuit is an easy beginner tour, perfect for novice riders and those looking for a leisurely biking experience. The route covers approximately 13.90 km with an elevation gain of about 462 m, primarily on gravel forest roads. With an estimated riding time of about 1.5 hours, this tour offers spectacular insights into the natural diversity of the Trudner Horn Nature Park, known for its unique flora. The tour is especially recommended in late spring, summer, and autumn.

Laion Bike-Tour

Extremely diverse tour, which really offers everything that makes an eventful MTB route. Different grounds, the change between woods and meadows, views and pleasant shade, and not least the interesting profile with several ascents and descents of different gradients, as well as short flat sections lend this circular tour a unique character. After not quite 12km, there is also the opportunity to tackle a further ascent to one of the two managed cabins, or to choose the descent straight back to Laion/Lajen.
