Snowshoeing or skitouring on the Alp of Lüsen with a wonderful panoramic view to the Dolomites.
The hiker leaves his mark on the snow-covered Alp of Lüsen. Passing little alpine huts covered with snow, through the snowy romantic scenery of lawn and forest.
This relatively easy snowshoe hike, with little variation in altitude, goes through the Armentarola meadows in San Cassiano and is ideal for anyone looking for something a bit different for half a day.
Snow-covered meadows and fantastic views await you. You can gaze all around from the Setsas to the Col di Lana, from the Sass de Pütia to the Sassongher, from the Lavarella to the Conturines and Lagazuoi. And when, in late afternoon, the sun tinges the peaks of the Dolomites with pink or red, the natural spectacle is simply perfect.
On this easy hike through forests and fields, you can experience the magic of winter in the Dolomites at close quarters.
The Cherz Plateau, between the villages of Corvara, La Villa and S.Cassiano, offers a 360° panoramic view over the surrounding Dolomites. It also an outstanding viewpoint for the Marmolada glacier.

Starting point: Village Brennerbad/Terme di Brennero, at the one-time valley station Zirog/Zirago (1.320m)
The mountain hut is located southwards the Brenner/Brennero and offers shelter and food. The path leads past the old cable car station over a little bridge on path no. 4 to the mountain pasture Badalm and forwards following the signpost “Enzianhütte 4a” to the mountain hut Enzianhütte/Rifugio Genziana.
This leisurely walk next to the river Rienz leads from St. Lorenzen/San Lorenzo to Bruneck/Brunico.
This snowshoe hike starts in Badia and takes hikers through the characteristic alpine landscape of the Armentara meadows. You walk across snow-covered meadows of unique beauty. Extraordinary art objects have been incorporated into the picturesque backdrop of the hiking trails of Reischach/Riscone, which sometimes only the attentive hiker can see.
This trail runs along both banks from the Gilf Gorge down to the point where the river enters the city. On the right bank, it connects directly with the path that leads to the Powder Tower and the Tappeiner Promenade; on the left, it joins with the Summer Promenade. Hike on old haymaking paths to the Lüsen Alps.
Before motorization an road construction, the hay harvest from the alpine pastures in winter was brought to the valley with sledges. The hike leads from the Lüsnerhof tot he left of the stream on the farm track uphill. At the edge of the forest the road through the forest goes left to the farmhouse of the Gargitthof. Below the farmhouse there is a nice resting place witha wonderful panoramic view. The way back goes from the rest area over the path tot he forest road and back to Lüsen Rungg.
A pleasant winter walk to relax and simply enjoy life in a quite area on Seiser Alm. This route offers a breathtaking view of the Schlern/Sciliar mountain, almost within hand’s reach from the Spitzbühl, and leads onwards over endless snow-covered alpine meadows back to the starting point.
