The winter hike passes the source of the Drava/Drau River. The Drava/Drau is a river of 749 km which takes origin in the field of Dobbiaco/Toblach and crosses Italy, Austria, Slovenia, Croatia and Hungary.

A good alp-round-tour with nice huts and lookouts in a snowy landscape.

The Bonner hut (closed in winter), which is located at 2,340 m above the sea level, offers a view of the snow-covered Dolomite peaks. Among them also the famous Three Peaks.

ALFARËI 1656 m – FURCELA DE LIJUN 2005 m – COL DAL LÈ 2178 m approx. 522 m | approx. 1 hour 40 Description: At Alfarëi, take the forest road marked 20B to Forcela de Lijun, then turn right in the direction of the Munt da Rina pastures and left at the crossing to get to the cross. Walk back along the same route.

Possibility to rental snowshoes in Antermoia and Picolin.

This easy hike along the Maiser Waal (or irrigation channel) winds pleasantly through mixed forest and orchards and is highly recommended on hot summer days thanks to its numerous shady sections.

Nice walk to the most famous waterfall in the Pflersch/Fleres Valley. The waterfall "Zur Hölle/All'Inferno" falls 46 meters to the valley bottom.

Idyllic winter circular hike above Moso, with lovely views and a cosy place to stop for refreshments.

This inspiring trail is very popular with guests and locals alike.
The history of the forest chapel is interesting: the church, which is almost entirely made of wood, was built around 1917, as the parish church in Sesto was badly damaged during the First World War. For 14 days, the farmers and the priest at the time worked on the church from early in the morning until nightfall. The wood for this came from a hay barn that had been crushed by the snow. In 1917 and 1918, every church service was celebrated there and, especially during the fascist era, the forest chapel served as a hiding place to hold masses in German. Today, the chapel is also known as the Peace Chapel and was restored in 1974. In 1988, at the suggestion of the then parish priest Markus Küer and in collaboration with the Sesto woodcarver Georg Lanzinger, a path of reflection was laid out to the chapel. Near the chapel there are cup stones, which are among the oldest traces of settlement in Sesto and are also the last of the biblical stations along the path of reflection.

The snowshoe hike on the Cima Lasta/Astjoch Peak (2,194 m) is one of the most rewarding things to do in the area. The magnificent summit view of the surrounding mountains is simply impressive.

A wonderful hike through the larch forests from Sexten to the Innerfeldtal Valley with a direct view of the mountains.

An easy hike through larch woods and the romantic Fischleintal valley, to the very foot of the Einserkofel.

The panoramic path to Gandelle/Kandellen offers a beautiful view of the surrounding Dolomite peaks.

An easy hiking of 2,5 km, in the Wielental/Valle di Vila, which presents no difficulties and is therefore well suited for families and children.

The Wine Trail ties in with Schenna’s centuries-old tradition of winegrowing. More than 20 stations along the way tell of the work in the vineyard, share knowledge, report on historic events and reveal curious facts about the noble grape juice. Over a distance of 5.3 km, the trail leads, sometimes steeply, sometimes in leisurely fashion, through the sun-kissed terroir and in the process provides fabulous views of Schenna Castle and the spa town of Merano. The Wine Trail can be completed in a good hour and a half. However, the many attractions along the way – such as a flavour station – encourage walkers to take a little more time. Not least so that they can pay a visit to the wine cellars and farm shops, which are practically right by the trail.

Demanding snowshoe hike through till the Suis pass with a wonderful view of the snowy Prags/Braies and Toblach/Dobbiaco Dolomite peaks.

Atmospheric hike on the Schenner Waalweg trail. This shady route winds without any noteworthy climbs along the course of the old irrigation channel and offers an exciting hike with wonderful landscapes to enjoy.

The river Silvesterbach has shaped the area around Dobbiaco/Toblach very significantly: the watershed was moved from Versciaco/Vierschach to Dobbiaco/Toblach, earth pyramids were created, but also deep trenches, the expansion of which has been slowed down for some time by the torrent construction. The Sylvesto circular hiking trail is to be on the following seven Provide insights into the eventful history of Dobbiaco/Toblach and the river Silversterbach: old San Silvestro/Wahlern, the earth pyramids, the fortifications, the greening measures in the trenches, the San Silvestro/Silvester spring, the San Silvestro/Silvester chapel and the periadriatic seam (an important geological fracture zone) at the bottom corner.
