The Almrosen hut is accessible via trail no. 7 from Compaccio/Compatsch and via the Hans-and-Paula-Steger trail, which also starts in Saltria. It is the ideal starting point for hikes to the Sciliar/Schlern mountain, the Gruppo del Catinaccio/Rosengarten, and the Sasso Lungo/Langkofel and Sasso Piatto/Plattkofel mountains.

The Durnwald restaurant in Colle/Val Casies - Gsieser Tal originated in 1970 from the division of the well-known Keil restaurant. Today it is a typical village inn that is situated in the middle of green areas at the forest edge. The Mayr family will convince you with good plain cooking and the use of fresh, local products.
