During this time, these professional footballers will be training in the sports zone in Mals.

Have you always wanted to know how cheese is made? Now you have the opportunity to make your own! You'll learn exciting facts about farming and the cheese-making trade and get to taste goat's and cow's cheese.

Every Wednesday between 8.30 am to 12.30 am, the pedestrian zone and Peter-Glückh-Platz in Mals bustle with activity. Fresh local produce, such as fruit, berries and vegetables, cheeses, bacon and bread types, jam, vinegar, juices and herbal teas, are always available for sale at the farmer's market. There are also craft and handicraft products made of stone, wood or felt for sale, as well as textiles, leather goods, plants, and equipment of all kinds for house and garden.
Taufers im Münstertal/Tubre, Vinschgau/Val Venosta
The Church of St Johann in Taufers was built around 1220. The Romanesque church building has the shape of a Greek cross. The fully painted groined vault shows Byzantine influences, and the frescoes from the late Romanesque period are also worth seeing.

Archaeological finds from the Bronze Age to the Middle Ages from Taufers, Puntweil and Rotund are on display.

The small church of St Benedict from the 8th century AD has Carolingian wall paintings inside, which are among the oldest frescoes in Western Europe.
A building from the 8th century. The Romanesque tower dates from the 12th century. The paintings and Carolingian frescoes inside are among the oldest in the entire German-speaking world. The church harbours the world's only portrait of a Frankish landlord.

Visit the mysterious bunkers of the Upper Venosta Valley with our experienced guides, architectural relics from the interwar period, monumental defences and last places of refuge. Embedded in the patchwork of the Upper Venosta Valley cultural landscape and well camouflaged by meadows and trees, these fortifications are barely recognisable as part of the Alpine wall.

Taufers im Münstertal/Tubre, Vinschgau/Val Venosta
Guided hike along the 360° circular hiking trail from the Egghof farm in Taufers i. M. to Schlinig.
Ride with the hiking taxi from Mals railway station to the Egghof farm above Taufers i. M. From there via the "Tellaalm" to the "Tellajoch". The "Tellajoch" surprises with a 360° panoramic view of the mountain peaks of the Ortler and Sesvenna groups. The 360° viewing platform highlights the mountain panorama. Continue first downhill to the Laatscher and Schleiser Alm alpine pastures with insights into the Upper Venosta Valley alpine farming. From there, hike uphill to Monterodes and then back downhill over the Kälberberg to the village of Schlinig. Return journey by public bus.

Schliniger Alm festival with cheese cutting!
This year, the traditional Schliniger Alm festival will once again take place on the Schliniger Alm alpine pasture.
The festival then begins on the Schliniger Alm alpine pasture at around 10.30 am.
The cheese is then officially cut at 11.30 am.
Food and drink as well as musical entertainment will be provided!
The Alpine pasture team and the Schlinig Alpine pasture interest group look forward to seeing you there!
‘+/- Folk’ is the theme of the exhibition trilogy, which combines the three exhibition venues St. Veit Church, Bunker23 and Bunker5 into a unique cultural journey. Art, design, architecture and film come together and open the view far beyond the boundaries of folkloristic nostalgia.

Guided sunrise hike
Travel by minibus to the Plantapatsch mountain hut (2150 m). From there we hike approx. 1.5 hours to the Watles summit (2555 m). There we will watch the sunrise. A unique view awaits us. An unforgettable, perhaps rare moment. Descent along the same route back to the Plantapatsch hut. Return journey by minibus to Burgeis.

St Nicholas' Church was consecrated in 1199. The little church is famous for its coffered ceiling from the 16th century, which depicts a jester in a washtub. The nave has a flat roof and slit windows. The semi-circular vaulted apse contains frescoes from the 13th century, including a well-preserved fresco of Christ in the mandorla.
