At the bottom of the Gantkofel the Eppaner Castle triangle is located. On the art-historic walking tour you get an impression of the mediaeval South Tyrol. The walking tour to the castles takes you to the Castle Triangle. First you reach the Castle Hocheppan, which is one of the most important fortifications of SouthTyrol. After a visit as well as refreshment at the Castle tavern the hike continues to the ruin Boymont. A little bit underneath Castle Korb is located, which derived from the Roman époque and is now a hotel.

Ski racers and mountaineers Hans and Paola Steger made their mark on the Seiser Alm like no other, before or since. Pioneers of mountaineering in the Dolomites, they made an immense contribution to the development of skiing on the Seiser Alm: The Hans & Paola Steger trail pays homage to their achievements. Info boards lining the route provide a host of information on the nature and culture of the Seiser Alm. A magnificent Dolomite panorama accompanies hikers along this leisurely yet fascinating trail. 

This circular trail takes you on a journey into the fascinating world of bees. Along the family-friendly path, differnt stations bring the connection between bees, forests, and humans to life. The trail winds through dense woodlands and blooming meadows, always accompanied by the hum of these busy pollinators.

A special highlight is the Beekeeping House, where you can take a close look at the bustling activity inside a beehive through an observation comb. See firsthand how bees work, communicate, and produce honey – a unique insight into their incredible world.

A hands-on experience for all ages, offering knowledge and a deep connection to nature.

Please note: There are no places to stop for refreshments on this short circular walk, but there are several picnic areas. One option for refreshments is the Untereggerhof inn. This can be reached by taking a short detour from the beekeeper's house towards the observatory and is not directly on the tour route. Walking time: 30 minutes (1.5 km).

This about 3 km long round trail is a child-friendly, creative and near-naturally designed contemplation trail!

The famous St. Martin is the patron of Glaning. The design of the round trail is based on his life and model.

With the helpful elements like footprints, stone bench, labyrinth, „Our-Father“ rock or splendid viewpoints, can both children and adults comprehend the life of the Saint Martin learning also more about themselves…

Along the geological trail between Passo Pinei and Bulla, you can find interesting information panels explaining the evolution of the world-renowned Dolomites. The path leads through geological highlights on the margin of the UNESCO World Heritage Site and offers fantastic panoramic views on the mountains of Val Gardena. The highlight of the trail is marked by panel No. 2; here the excursionist physically passes through the Permian-Triassic boundary, which marks one of the greatest changes in the development of life on earth. In fact, 250 million years ago, more than 90% of all species, plants and animals in water, land and air became extinct due to enormous volcanic eruptions.

Explore the natural beauty along the Troi Paian, the first trade route in Val Gardena. This hike will take you through picturesque forest trails from Furnes to St. Peter and Laion. Immerse yourself in the pristine nature and enjoy the tranquility along this historic path.

An almost vertical chimney makes the beginning of the via ferrata found 3.8 km south of Margreid. This is followed by rock passageways with brackets, wire ropes and iron ladders. A partially exposed hiking trail leads through scrub forest to the last rock passage (summit book). Then follows a short secured route, until the trail merges into a forest path that leads to the first houses of Unterfennberg. After approx. 300 meters on a paved road, a forest path branches off to the left - marking 3 -. On this you reach the meadow and lake of Unterfennberg (1047 m), where there are two restaurants.

 There are two options for the way back: on the "normal way" (signpost 3) to Margreid and from there either by taxi - taxi Boccher Tel. +39 3356142064 - or on foot about ¾ hour to the starting point. Or from Unterfennberg south following the mark 502 B to Aichholz (Roverè della Luna). From the center on asphalt in a northerly direction about 2 km to your starting point.

 Tip: Do not start too late; the rock walls heat up very fast!

The toboggan run starts directly from the Geisleralm hut (opening time from 26th december) and is identical to the path of ascension till the turning to Zans. From here the sleigh ride leads left through the woods down to the car park Waldschenke. The first piece of the toboggan run is steep and followed by a brisk track with just a few curves.

In 15 interesting stations, many different games await the families. Together with the wood mouse Ferdinand, the parents and their kids search for animal tracks, listen to bird voices, lift up the horn of a deer, work themselves through a tunnel and climb up the pecker-hill.

The Ridnauntal/Val Ridanna Circular Trail starts in Maiern/Masseria. It goes along the Fernerbach stream down the valley to the hamlet of Braunhöfen, where it goes round in a loop. This is followed by a climb up to Gasse and the Joggelehof farm, where you do a loop and then start on your way back. First you follow the same route back to Ridnaun/Ridanna; then you follow the trail in a number of loops of varying degrees of difficulty back up the valley to Maiern/Masseria.

This rewarding circular hike leads from the mountain hamlet of Spiluck in the Schalderer Tal Valley near Vahrn/Varna to the Scheibenberg (1,948 m) and back via the Zirmaitalm mountain pasture. The view from the Scheibenberg opens out on to the Pustertal Valley and the entire valley basin of Brixen/Bressanone as well as the mountains of the Puez-Geisler group.

The Castle trail „Castelronda“ is about 20 km long and connects the castles and ruins of Bolzano, San Genesio and Terlano: Castle Roncolo/Runkelstein, Castle Rafenstein, Castle Grifo/Greifenstein (vulg. also called Castello del Porco, which means „Pork Castle“), Ruin Helfenberg and Castle Neuhaus (also called Maultasch). The efforts of hikers will be fully satisfied with magnificent views over the most beautiful castles and ruins of the region, in the middle of the nature.

 Trilingual information pillars near the castles and ruins will inform your whole family of interesting history facts and entertaining tips.  

The hikes on the „Castelronda/Burgenweg“ trail are especialliy recommended in spring, autumn and winter.

The Snowpark Seiser Alm is Italy's best snow park. At the Skipass Awards 2016, the snow park on the Alpe di Siusi was awarded, for the third time in a row, as Best Park, Best Jib Line and Best Pro Line. Lines of all levels of difficulty and a high number of diverse elements make the Snowpark Seiser Alm the perfect place for all riders. With a length of 1.5 km and the great offer of contests and events during the whole season, the snowpark establishes itself in the national as well as the international scene. “Fun and competition” is the motto of the Snowpark Seiser Alm, always living the freestyle spirit.

The Toboggan run (3 km) starting from the mountain station of the new funicular Resciesa in Ortisei offers a great experience for the whole family. As there is an intermediate station, it is possible to enjoy the run several times in row. Alternatively you can reach the Resciesa hut within a thirty minute walk starting from the mountain station. From there, you can sledge along the slope and you will connect then to the toboggan run.
All those who don't have a sledge can rent one at the valley station of the funicular.

Trail of Legends: San Genesio Atesino/Jenesien Remarkably, it was 132 students from the municipality of San Genesio Atesino who are responsible for the creation of this fabulous Trail of Legends, which they based on 14 myths from their community. The short hike to the LATEMAR.360° panoramic platform is a must for families and nature lovers alike. From the top station of the Oberholz panoramic chairlift, an easy, well-maintained trail leads in just a few minutes to one of the most impressive viewpoints in the region. At 2,200 m altitude, the 360° view opens up across the Dolomites – from the jagged Latemar peaks to the Rosengarten, Schlern and even the Zillertal Alps in the distance. Large, informative panels explain the surrounding mountains, making this a fun and educational stop for children and curious hikers. With its easy access, stunning scenery and informative design, LATEMAR.360° is a perfect destination for all ages.

One of the most beautiful hikes in Alta Badia and the Dolomites.

Untouched nature, vertical walls soaring skywards that turn red at sunset, and a breathtaking view extending over the green valley of Badia on one side and the legendary landscape of the Fanes Alp on the other. The characteristic Dolomite flora, along with marmots and chamois goats, all combine to make this a truly unforgettable walk.

Discover the old buildings of Kurtatsch and their history during a walk around the historic wine village. Find out what a "Schnoatstall" is, where the former jail was or who lived in the "Nocker" house. The tour information can be accessed via QR-codes on the buildings.

The complete village tour lasts about 2 1/2 hours, but it is easily shortened.

Learn about flora, fauna, agriculture, and forestry in a playful way on the new “Kirchsteig” adventure trail in Deutschnofen. Locals and visitors, young and old, will enjoy exciting stations like a listening island, a telescope, a wildlife memory game, and a mill wheel. The diverse trail presents site-specific topics in a modern way. Interactive games and puzzles engage children and adults alike. Sensory stations encourage conscious listening, understanding, touching, and smelling, ensuring lasting impressions. The “Kirchsteig” offers different perspectives on the community of Deutschnofen. Numerous information boards highlight the rich flora, fauna, and geological features of the region, making this trail a special experience for all ages.

Not suitable for bicycles and strollers!

Along the geological path you will find a lot of signs and stations that shows the geology and the connected relations. The main attraction of the trail is the "Höllenbach" catastrophe of 1986. Following the path you will arrive on a big rock of tufa and the S. Nepomuk santuary. This rock last a violent mudslud and reminds the power of nature. The next sign reminds the mudslide of 1986. Just a short look to the panorama shows the different layers of rock from Montan to Weis and Schwarzhorn. Nearby you will find another rock. That's a Voltago conglomerate who resisted a mudslide 245 millions of years ago. After it there's the possibility to take a little break on a quiet island with 5 columns and a little bench with some small different rockets from the sourroundings. On the dam of the river a sign will explane you the different layers of the rock infront of you. The last sign indicate some fossils which where found in the river bed and with a bit of luck also you could find one. 

The Dolomieu Trail goes across six mountain pastures from the Rosskopf mountain in Sterzing / Vipiteno via Ladurns into the Pflerschtal valley. Enjoy beautiful panoramic views of the Dolomites from Rosskopf and hike past the idyllic Alpine village of Valleming towards the Pflerschtal valley where Deodat de Dolomieu discovered the dolomite rock at the foot of the Tribulaun mountain.

The farmers trail is the former connecting route between Coll and the village centre of St. Peter and was used by the farmers to get to school and to church. The historic farms, the picturesque chapels and wayside shrines and the majestic pale mountains, the Odle, will enchant you.

The "Vorbichl" Adventure Trail is located in Prissiano. This path is ideal for children and adults. 

Suitable for enthusiastic newcomers, a welcoming side event for mountain lovers, exiting for sportive climbers. The via ferrata is of a medium degree of difficulty, starting right after the exit of the  Speikboden gondola at 2.000m. You’ll overcome 350m of difference in altitude belayed and safe. On your first steps out of the gondola you will already get this pure feeling of summits surrounding you. Hold on for the stunning view across Valley Aurina, Zillertal Alps and the white peaks of Durreck. Walk on for the entrance of the via ferrata. Keep the feeling of touching mountains and sky while you step into the via ferrata. Get excited on the super long suspension bridge, get a grip on the edgy rocks of the mountains. You’ll arrive at the very peak of Speikboden. Heading towards a panoramic view you can only here enjoy: Dolomites, Tre Cime and Marmolata towards the glaciers of Valley Aurina. The tour is considered a circular route, for your way back you can either chose the chairlift Sonnklar or hike downwards the alpine paths of the Speikboden recreation area.

It is possible to rent the equipment for the Via Ferrata at the mountain station of the cablecar Speikboden.

 

Starting at the inn Jaufensteg, the Pfeifer-Huisile-Path leads along the valley path to Bichl/Colle and on to Vallettina, where the ruins of the birthplace of the sorcerer can be seen. The "Pfeifer Huisele", which was above all distinguished by his humour, is without doubt one of the most famous Tyrolean mythical figures. In the manner of Till Eulenspiegel, a well-known folklore character from northern Germany, he roamed through valleys and mountains on his little donkey. His ideas were so whimsical that you can still laugh about them today. Along the way, several information signs in text and pictures inform about the life of the Pfeifer Huisile. To get back to the starting point, you can either walk back the same way or take the public bus from Larchhof. 

The Puflatsch Run on the Seiser Alm is best suited for those who want to enjoy a challenging run and a breathtaking panorama.
