Church of St. Anne in Lana
    Lana, Meran/Merano and environs

St Anne's Church is part of the St Anne's building complex. From the fifteenth to the nineteenth century, St Anne's served as the residence of the priests of the Teutonic Order.
The St Anne's building complex was built in the first half of the 15th century.
The building was grouped around two Romanesque towers, which formed the original building stock. The northern tower served as living quarters, while the church was built into the southern tower. It is crowned with a ridge turret set on corbels with a high pointed roof. A heavily yellowed inscription on the west front under the ridge turret indicates the year 1458 as the possible date of construction or consecration.
The Gothic style began in France in the 13th century, in Tyrol it only began in the 14th century. The building falls into the High Gothic period.

    Saint Martin’s church
    Schenna/Scena, Meran/Merano and environs

The church was built during the 12th Century and is the oldest monument in Scena. It was constructed according to the Carolingian measurements, has two naves with one round apses each and two central octagon pillars. Previously, in both apses, there was an altar, one of which was consecrated to Saint Martin. For safety reasons, this late-Gothic altar, originating from the 16th Century, was transferred into the old parish church. After a number of small changes, the church received its current shape in 1922, as the Italian Department for Monuments intended to put an emphasis on the Roman monuments in South Tyrol. Today, the church is used as a commemoration chapel for the dead.

    St. Margareth church in Margen/Terenten
    Terenten/Terento, Brixen/Bressanone and environs
St. Margareth in Marga was first mentioned in 1309. Only the walls of the long nave can be brought into connection with this period when looking at today's' building. A smaller, non-vaulted church was probably the origin of this chapel. The pointed tower was probably constructed at the end of the 14th century, and the long nave was probably vaulted at the beginning of the 16th century. This is a construction with one nave. The altar room is located in the tower. S. Christopher on the façade is meant to protect the people from storms. With regard to picturesque highlights we can mention the wall painting wit the 14 helpers in need on the triumphal arch wall, which has been preserved up to date. The wing altar dating back to about 1500 with sculptures of S. Margaret, Magdalene and Catherine is also very impressive. The entire altar was restored in 1888. The extraordinary side altar, a painted wing shrine dating back to the beginning of the 16th century is also worth mentioning. In 1948/49 the inside of the church was newly lime-washed and the inventory cleaned. The key is lendable in the neighbouring house.
