Südtirol Guest Pass

Keen to experience South Tyrol without a car? There’s nothing easier than that! The Südtirol Guest Pass it's included in the price and is given to you upon check-in. Discover the participating accommodations. Take advantage of  South Tyrol’s Integrated Public Transport Network südtirolmobil  and you'll move freely within South Tyrol. A tightly knit network of public transport and coordinated timetables largely ensure hourly and half-hourly connections between the villages and to popular excursion destinations.

Some tourist regions of South Tyrol may offer additional benefits, like free admission at musuems or free events.

The Guest Pass is not valid for travels on long-distance trains (e.g. EC trains, Railjet, Frecciargento, Italo) and on the following bus lines: shuttle bus 444 Dobbiaco - 3 Zinnen Dolomites/ Auronzo mountain hut, line 442 Toblach/Dobbiaco-Niederdorf/Villabassa - Prags/Braies in the summer months, shuttle bus 439 Welsberg-Taisten/Monguelfo - Pragserwiildsee lake and shuttle bus 440 Sexten/Sesto- Fischleintal/Val Fiscalina -Kreuzbergpass/Passo Monte Croce.

Depending on the holiday region, the Südtirol Guest Pass includes different benefits - from free admission to South Tyrol's museums to free events. Integrated Public Transport Network südtirolmobil

Buses, trains, cable cars are free if you have the Südtirol Guest Pass in your wallet. The Südtirolmobil comprises the following routes and lines:

Regional trains every half-hour or hour:

  • Brenner/Brennero line: Brenner-Bolzano/Bozen-Trento
  • Vinschgau/Val Venosta line: Mals/Malles-Meran/Merano
  • Meran line: Meran/Bolzano
  • Pustertal/Val Pusteria line: Franzensfeste/Fortezza- Innischen/San Candido-Vierschach /Versciaco

Local buses (urban and suburban)

  • Lifts to Renon, Gitschberg/Maranza, Jenesien/San Genesio (currently closed), Kohlern/Colle, Mölten/Meltina and Vöran/Verano 

The Renon and the Mendel/Mendola funicular.

 

Mobilcard

The Mobilcard offers unlimited use of all public transport throughout South Tyrol on one, three or seven consecutive days. You can download the südtirolmobil app to check connections and stops. 

The Mobilcard is available at südtirolmobil points of sale, in tourism offices and in some guest facilities. But you can also have it digital if you download the südtirolmobil app.

There is a 50% discount on all tickets for children and young people aged 6 to 14. Children under 6 travel free of charge on public transport in South Tyrol.

Experience South Tyrol by train, bus and rental bike

The most adventurous way to discover our province is probably on two wheels - the bikemobil Card makes it possible. This combi ticket includes the one-time use of a rental bike and the use of all public transport of the South Tyrol Integrated Public Transport (Verkehrsbund Südtirol). The bikemobil Card is available as a day ticket.

Rental bikes are available at the rental stations of the railway stations as well as at the branch offices of the participating bike rental companies. You have the choice between mountain bikes, racing bikes, the latest generation of touring bikes as well as e-bikes, which make the ride over hilly wine landscapes, through blossoming apple orchards or up to small farming villages even easier. Children's bikes, helmets and saddles are also available for rent. After your tour, return your bike to one of the participating businesses at no extra charge; however, you cannot transport it on the train or bus.

Visit South Tyrol's museums with a single ticket

A further benefit of the Mobilcard is the museumobil Card.

This allows you unlimited travel on all public transport on three or seven consecutive days as well as entry to around 80 museums and collections  throughout South Tyrol.

For children under 6 years of age, travel by public transport as well as entry to the museums is free. For children aged 6 to 13, a reduced "Junior Card" is available.

The museumobil Card is available at südtirolmobil points of sale, in the offices of the Tourist Infos and in some guest establishments.
