Hotel description

To be above things again not only succeeds to its unique panoramic location, but also to a high-quality family ambience that focuses on quality instead of quantity. Again and again from up here you can look down on the everyday hectic in Bozen in the valley below. It is easy to explain the way we live life here at the Belvedere. When the sparkling, fruity aperitif bubbles across your tongue and the scent of the forest comes drifting across the terrace, then you get a feeling of what La Dolce Vita is all about. Perhaps you hope to eat and drink well, relax, do sport, simply enjoy the view or relish the fact you don’t have to watch the clock and can just let yourself go with the flow. All of this goes without saying up here at 1,080 m above sea level. And for those who want to step down from this heavenly paradise and take a breath of city air, there is a bus link between Jenesien and Bozen, which can take guests down to Bozen or bring them back up again in only 15 minutes.

About the region

Enjoy both impressive views of nearby Dolomite peaks as well as a Mediterranean atmosphere. The fertile wine region of Bolzano and Environs extends from Sarntal valley via the state capital Bolzano, to Salorno/Salurn. Located at between 200 and 3,000 m above sea level, possibilities for an active holiday abound throughout the year. Holidays in Bolzano and Environs are a feast for the senses.

In the expansive southern valley, visitors can marvel at vineyards and castles, as well as apple orchards and idyllic villages. Further north, near the state capital, admire traditional mountain farms and craggy Alpine peaks. Outstanding local wines and the mouth-watering flavours and aromas of local specialities, such as asparagus and chestnuts, whet the appetite. Both peace and a flair for the dramatic are on hand in Bolzano and Environs. South Tyrol/Südtirol’s capital is a vibrant city bustling with activity, whilst nearby isolated mountain villages and quiet tributary valleys offer respite. The characteristic sounds of the mingling of Italian and German fill the streets, whilst music, theater and festivals are a feast for the eyes and ears. You’ll be sure to return home with unforgettable memories like swimming in the warm Kalterer See lake, the crisp crunch of snow under your skis, or the silence of relaxing with friends over a glass of wine and enjoying the best food South Tyrol has to offer.
