Hotel description
Space, comfort and peace describe the concept Originally the Settari House was the home of the big Settari family. Many of the children were born here in the “new building” as it was still called until very recently due to the lack of a name. Built by Johanna Settari, the building was undoubtedly influenced by her son-in-law Hubert Lanzinger in terms of furnishings and colour scheme. Four spacious holiday apartments with big balconies were built in the old rooms with two on each floor. In contrast to the genuinely historic Hotel Briol modern bathrooms, heating and a kitchenette have been integrated in an exemplary way here. Meals can be taken either in your rooms or together in the large lounge with library and wood-fired stove. The two apartments above the lounge can be entered separately. Thus at the Settari you can have it both ways, either socialize with other guests in the lounge or retreat to absolute peace and quiet in your rooms. Those who want to further investigate the fascinating history of the place may explore the family archive housed in its newly-built room or listen to little concerts, lectures or readings taking place there on a regular basis.

About the region

Starting from Brennerpass and extending to a hint of the Mediterranean in Bolzano/Bozen, the high peeks, gentle hills and dazzling valleys of Brixen and environs unfold with their characteristic apples, wine and chestnuts. Southern flair, enchanting cities and authentic South Tyrolean traditions await you during your holiday in the Valley of Trails.

Trails connect. North and south, villages and small cities, mountains and valleys, and landscapes both cultural and natural. In the region Brixen and environs, everything revolves around the trails that call out to be followed and discovered during your holiday. The thematic diversity of hiking possibilities extend from simple, family-oriented hikes to challenging high-altitude ascents, and from educational walks to traditional trails. In the cities of Brixen, Klausen/Chiusa and Sterzing/Vipiteno, whispers of the Mediterranean and a hint of urbanity are well-worth the trip. Shining with rich history, beautiful attractions and a successful mix of customs and innovation. The origins of a characteristic South Tyrolean tradition come alive in Brixen and environs: Every year during fall as part of Törggelen, young wines are sampled along with a series of speciality dishes and chestnuts in small Buschenschänken farmhouse inns.
