Hotel description
Welcome to “Haus Theresia”. Our house is amongst the oldest and first buildings in town. The first documented evidence of Glurns is from 1163, shortly before the town received its own charter from Graf Meinhard II from Görz. Our house is a newly-renovated historic building in a unique corner in the centre of Glurns. Our four rooms are located on the first floor. During the renovations it was our aim to design each room with individual furniture with local and natural materials to create a cozy charm. We used Swiss stone pine furniture with a natural finish. The historic timber floor boards in the rooms were carefully restored to maintain their character. Every room has a modern bathroom, a definite contrast to the conditions in the 12th century. All rooms offer the following amenities: • Wireless internet, cable and satellite television • Shower, toilet and hair dryer • Safe An abundant breakfast awaits you in the medieval room with arched ceilings on the ground level. We offer high-quality, local and regional products for a good start to the day. There is parking in the courtyard adjacent to the guesthouse. In addition to the comfortable rooms, you can find a quiet space in our garden with options to sunbathe or barbecue. Your host Thomas is happy to offer massage treatments in our in-house massage room for those in need of an additional dose of relaxation. We look forward to welcoming you to Haus Theresia. Family Wallnöfer Rosi, Thomas and Paul

About the region

The sunniest valley in the Alps as well as the highest mountain in South Tyrol, ‘King’ Ortler, are but a stone’s throw away in Vinschgau, the westernmost part of South Tyrol. Character and creativity in this border region are expressed by the unique products and rich cultural and artistic treasures to be discovered against the backdrop of contrasting and dramatic landscapes.

The waters of the Reschensee lake guard the secrets of a famous sunken church. A view out across the lake towards its lonely church tower, surrounded by snowkiters or sailboats, exemplifies the blending of culture and possibilities for activity on holidays in Vinschgau. Discover for yourself the varied landscapes bathed in light as well as the creativity and peculiarity of the people of Vinschgau during a ride on the Vinschgau Train. View numerous castles and forts in the wide and sun-spoiled valley, dubbed the patchwork quilt of South Tyrol. As you travel further along, the Ortler peak appears larger than life. Hop out and enjoy the bounty that surrounds you, from Vinschgau apricots to specialties like Paarl bread. Stroll along the Waalwege paths or bike to Glorenza/Glurns, the smallest city in Italy, where you can head back in time to the middle ages.
