Apartments Alara is located in the fraction of Ortisei called Roncadizza, which is located approx. 2 km from the town center away. The town center and the cableway can be reached in few stops by free bus (the stop is 100m away) or in a couple of minutes by car. It is a particularly family friendly area, as there are two children playgrounds, horse riding, tennis and beach volley courts within 200 m from the house. In the same range you also find the first bars and restaurants. Apartments Alara offers a wonderful furnished garden, in common for both apartments, where you can relax under the Dolomites’ sun. You will also find outdoor parking, Wi-Fi and ski room with boot heater. The property also offers free daily access to the MAR DOLOMIT public swimming pools and free use of the nearby tennis courts (on reservation).

About the region

In the region Val Gardena region, the Dolomites are so close you can touch them and the Ladin way of life can be experienced in all its colours. Modern lifts and trendy events paired with traditional wood carving arts connect innovation and tradition on holiday.


The Val Gardena valley is an internationally renowned ski and hiking area in the middle of spectacular Dolomites rock towers. It offers outstanding holiday value at the highest level year round. A cable car ride from one of the valley stations followed by a gentle walk is as good a way of seeking out impressive viewing points as a hike round around the striking Sassolungo mountain or high-Alpine tours and via ferrata climbs. Val Gardena is strongly influenced by its Ladin population and the coexistence of three official languages: German, Italian, and Ladin.
