Our guesthouse is a farm dating back to the 13th century. For more than 400 years this has been a refuge for guests. Located outside the city in an idyllic landscape, our hotel provides a place of quietness and romance. Everything here is genuine and natural. In our restaurant or in the antiquity pine barrack room from the XVII century you can celebrate your wedding, birthday or family celebration.

The ancient inn: The Traube is documented as an inn in texts dating from the 17th century. The Niedermair family, who runs the hotel, has owned the ancient building for the last hundred years. Ladin specialties and international cuisine.

There are no secrets as to how we come up with our culinary creations, we simply have a clear approach to what makes good food: The use of local, natural, biological products that are fresh and seasonal. Artificial seasonings, additives and processed food are off-limits. We believe that this is the first requirement for an excellent meal. This alone however is clearly not enough. Imagination and creativity are also required- but above all we rely on our chefs special culinary skills and talent. All of this is combined with great hospitality and excellent service. Part of South Tyrolean culture is South Tyrolean warmth; treating our guests comes naturally to us. Nothing has to be forced, as we gain pleasure by satisfying our guests. Every day that ends at our restaurant ends with a real highlight: a wonderful dinner with friends.

The Mair am Bach Hotel cuisine is very refined; together with the typical South Tyrolean delicacies we offer dishes from international cooking tradition. We offer many South Tyrolean and international delicacies, together with true gastronomic threats which will make every gourmet happy! Our cuisine is also famous for the fish-based dishes. The pleasure of a good meal is completed by a wide choice of vinage wines.

The Berghotel Schlemmer in Plancios serves classic South Tyrolean specialties such as Knödel (dumplings) and Kaiserschmarrn (a dessert made of shredded pancakes) – and not only to its guests. These dishes, as well as Italian pasta specialties, are also available to the many day-trippers, hikers and bikers who stop at the hotel. Absolutely everyone touring the area around Bressanone, the nearby Mount Plose and the vicinity of the Dolomites likes to have a bite to eat in the Schlemmer restaurant. Indeed, our kitchen staff know how to impress food connoisseurs and continuously come up with new creations that can even surprise guests who return year after year.

We also organize special dinners or theme evenings such as the traditional "Törggelen" (roasted chestnut and tasting of the new wine) in autumn.

Home made patisserie, ice cream & chocolaterie.

The old diocesan town of Brixen has many friends who relish coming again and again. Art lovers will enjoy interesting sights, bargain-hunters can browse around the attractive shops, wine connoisseurs can taste the delicate wines of the region and hikers will find innumerable paths for long or short walks. Should you come by train and want a pleasant place to stay, you don't have to go far - the Jarolim Hotel is situated near the station. Motorists on the other hand will find a large car park at their disposal. The rooms have a bathroom, shower, WC, telephone and a TV-set. Most attractive to our guests is the large park with a swimming pool - an oasis of peace and quiet amidst the hustle and bustle of the town. The Jarolim Hotel is the ideal starting point for walks or excursions in the near surroundings. There is a lot to see in the Eisack valley and the neighboring Puster Valley. We are sure that you will enjoy a pleasant stay with us!

SHORT CHRONICLE OF THE HOTEL
After the railway to the South had been built in the year 1867, the necessity for a catering facility near the station was felt. Mister Johann Jarolim bought a site from the Imperial and Royal Administration of the Railways on condition that he should build a hotel. This happened in the year 1890. The hotel was called Hotel Bahnhof (Station Hotel). 1905 it was extended and 1912 another story was built. Since that time the hotel has assumed its present-day dimensions. During World War I Brixen/Bressanone was a major training area and the Austrian officer's mess was in the hotel. These were hectic times for the hotel and it was very busy day and night. On the occasion of the visit of the Queen Helen of Italy to Brixen on July 5, 1935, the hotel was given the name of the Italian royal dynasty "Savoia". During World War II German officers were accommodated and at the end of the war the hotel was occupied by American troops. After the war the name of the hotel was changed again and it is called now the Jarolim Hotel. On occasion of the disturbances in South Tyrol in the year 1961 the hotel was occupied again. This time for 6 years by a special unit of the Italian police. Afterwards the hotel has been renovated little by little so as to get its today's class.
