The gallery Hofburg is a meeting place for lovers of art, especially the nativity figures - such as the Neapolitan - and modern art. Jacob Kompatscher's collection includes nativity figures, complete cribs, wooden carvings, sculptures and paintings by well-known local, national and international artists such as Angela Tripi from Sicily, Adriano Colombo from Veneto or Leo Demetz from South Tyrol. Thalerhof farm is located at 900 metres above sea level in the district of Schnauders above the village of Feldthurns. Fantastic views of the Dolomites may be had from the farm, which has been in the family’s hands since 1772. The Kerschbaumer family’s cowshed is home to 15 dairy cows and their young and there are two holiday flats on the farm, which are rented out to guests. Another eleven hectares of woodland also belong to Thalerhof. Tradition and customs are deeply rooted at the Kramerhof, so the woodcarving craft is an integral part of the family tradition.

In the third generation, this centuries old craft is cultivated in the quill embroidery Thaler. The artistically embroidered with quill pen "Sarner Geldtaschen", traditional belts and other products are known and loved far beyond the valley. Each piece is unique and in order personally made for the customer. Sting by stitch with the awl creates a piece of personality on the finest cowhide, calfskin or goatskin long life. From the natural sheep wool we create many unique products. Here you will find the genuine Sarner Jangger and handwoven sheep wool carpets. For healthy sleep, we sew beds and pillows with soft wool filling and make cozy wool blankets in natural colors. So you never have cold feet again there are wool socks, shoe inserts made of felt and the well-known Sarner Toppar (Sarner slippers). As a special source of strength and health, we supply wool for wool baths. In addition, there are many smaller and larger items such as lambskins, bags, loden, felt, sheep's milk soap, knitting wool, woolen fleece, felt wool and more.

Due to my passion for the mountains and especially for alpine mountaineering, I spend a lot of time in nature in summer and winter.
Again and again I see the most wonderful and unique creations and whims of nature.
 The most beautiful ones are often found in inaccessible places and the recovery is usually difficult.
In spite of this, or perhaps because of it, it gives me pleasure to take such pieces and put them in the limelight.
 This hobby soon became a passion and finally the company Mannart was born.

When carving I become one with the wood. The log itself is already a work of art that holds the figure in itself. My model and the wood form a unity, are together the artwork.

Thanks to its diverse and distinctive natural and cultural landscape, the Schnalstal Valley is one of the most fascinating valleys in the entire Alps. The discovery of Ötzi, the glacier mummy, and the annual driving of sheep – the transhumance - over the main ridge of the Alps, are proof that hunters and shepherds have been travelling through the Schnalstal Valley for thousands of years. The wool in these slippers (potsch) comes only from Schnals mountain sheep, which are perfectly suited to life in this Alpine region. The felt is made in one of the most prestigious loden and felt factories in South Tyrol. The wool in these felt slippers has proven itself, for example, through optimum thermal balance and tremendous durability. The ipotsch product are warranted for hand made, ecologic and etic production. The slippers "ipotsch" are available in the tourism office a Certosa/Karthaus.

Our family business has been in existence since 1910 and is now run by the fourth generation.
The company was founded by our great-grandfather Emil Jacob in Merano.

We can therefore draw on decades of experience.

In our showroom you will find over 100 ready-made garden fountains made of limestone, granite and porphyry, some of which can be combined with beautiful figures made of bronze or marble. Some of our natural stone fountains are also suitable for interior design, e.g. wellness and entrance areas.

We manufacture customised sculptures, columns, steps, door, window and fireplace surrounds. Tables, benches and barbecue combinations made of natural stone or iron are planned and manufactured according to your personal wishes.
