A single belt of chestnut groves extends from Varna/Vahrn near Bressanone/Brixen along the slopes of the Isarco Valley up to Bolzano/Bozen and the Ritnen High-plateau, then down into the Bolzano Valley Basin. The trail, which is marked, leads through colourful mixed forests and lush green meadows, passing stately chestnut trees: a very unique way to enjoy nature.
