The Antholzertal valley extends 21 km eastwards from Brunico/Bruneck to the Austrian border and includes the villages of Rasun di Sotto/Niederrasen, Rasun di Sopra/Oberrasen, Anterselva di Sotto/Antholz Niedertal, Anterselva di Mezzo/Antholz Mittertal, and Anterselva di Sopra/Antholz Obertal. Activity in and amongst nature characterises holidays here, be it along hiking trails in summer or cross-country skiing trails in wintertime. The Antholzertal valley is known far and wide for its extensive cross-country ski network and biathlon centre, which hosts the annual Biathlon World Cup. The valley also boasts unique natural features such as the Antholzersee lake, the protected Rasun - Anterselva biotope, and the Riesenferner-Ahrn nature park.
