Südtiroler Unterland, with the sun-spoiled wine villages of Cortaccia/Kurtatsch, Magrè/Margreid and Cortina all'Adige/Kurtinig, is located just before the language and provincial border at the very southern end of South Tyrol. The framework for holidays in Bassa Atesina is provided by scenic vineyards, apple orchards, and the many cypress, palm and olive trees. The exceptionally mild climate makes cycling, hiking, mountain biking, and climbing possible almost the entire year. The renovated residences, modern wineries and traditional buildings are worthwhile excursion destinations.
