The Parma Trio will perform in Bolzano together with violist Simonide Braconi. Braconi is first viola soloist at La Scala in Milan and has been awarded prizes at various international competitions, including the 'Cologne' and 'Lionel Tertis' competitions in England. The Trio di Parma, established in 1990 at the Conservatorio 'A. Boito' in Parma, has won the most prestigious awards with its successes at the 'Vittorio Gui' International Competition in Florence, the International Chamber Music Competition in Melbourne, the ARD International Competition in Munich and the International Chamber Music Competition in Lyon. Furthermore, in 1994 the National Association of Music Critics awarded the Trio di Parma the ‘Abbiati Prize’ as the best chamber music ensemble. On the programme are the piano quartets op. 25 and op. 26 by Johannes Brahms. It's spring, nature is awakening and "Lana blossoms" once again from 1 to 30 April 2024. Blossoms and wild herbs once again play a special role in the spring events in Lana and the surrounding area and offer countless opportunities to get to know them better: spring highlights, creative workshops, themed lectures, wild herb hikes and much more are on offer. The Farmers' Mile of Delights in the centre of Lana awaits visitors on Saturday, 6 April with more than 50 South Tyrolean farm stands. The Apple Blossom Golf Tournament on Saturday, 13 April invites you to kick off the golf season with a tee-off and spring menu right on the green. The traditional Blossom Farm Festival on Sunday, 21 April is dedicated to the historic farms and farmsteads, which give the public an insight into farm life and treat them to farmhouse delicacies.

Walther von der Vogelweide, the most important of the German-speaking minnesingers, has left a deep mark not only on literature, but also on Lajen. Thus would Walther von der Vogelweide have probably received us, bidding us “willekomen” to his home of Lajen, which he left in the late 12th century in order to conquer the entire German-speaking world with his songs and poems. Walther was the star minnesinger, the one who knew how to entertain the ladies and gentlemen at court – up to and including numerous crowned heads. As a consummate professional, he knew exactly what his audience wanted to hear, whether it was poems about noble ladies and (not so noble) girls, or works with a more solid content: crown, church, crusades.

"LANA IN BLOOM" – in pots and on plates. That spring is tentatively preparing to make its debut, is noticeable from the first bulbs appearing on the new branches of trees and shrubs, or well-tended pot plants in private gardens, and a wide range of herbs growing in the wild. Nature’s reawakening also fires the creative imagination of the restaurant chefs in and around Lana. Between 1 – 30 April 2023, during the "Lana in Bloom" gourmet weeks, there are abundant reinterpretations of traditional delicacies using seasonal wild herbs and fresh local ingredients. Lana’s annual food festival is supplemented with local D.O.C. certified wines, fastidious attention to detail — and an overall ‘feel-good’ atmosphere.

Domenico Grenci's painting admittedly addresses this kind of compositions. His productive corpus is made up of consolidated subjects of painting – flowers, portraits, surfaces and still lifes – very different from each other, distinct in their progression as almost autonomous series, but also profoundly related both in their expressive treatment and in the meaning they bring with them. Images of astral distance and tactile proximity, dreamy and crepuscular epiphanies that seem observed among the attenuating vapours of past time or of the distance that interposes between our eyes and the target to which they are directed, objects seen through frosted glass with an almost photographic quality, but with a heliographic, nineteenth-century type, flou, unstable, phantasmagorical…

As part of the guided tour, we look behind the scenes of the Brixen Water Light Festival together with an expert and gain in-depth insights into the world of the light art scene. We visit water points and cultural and historical treasures that local and international artists have transformed into an open-air gallery with their creative ideas.

Every year in Spring, Brixen is the venue for the Water Light Festival. From 24 April to 12 May, the sixth edition of the Water Light Festival will take place at nightfall in the town of Brixen and during the day in the Neustift monastery (until 29th of June 2024). Once again, this year, artists from all over the world will bring their creative ideas to South Tyrol. The Water Light Festival combines light art, contemporary art and environmental awareness. The aim is to create awareness and sensitivity and to encourage reflection. The installations combine creativity, visual illusions, lyrical elements and stimulate reflection.
