Sparkling wine tasting and guided visit at the Kettmeir winery. The journey starts with a tour of the historic winery and ends with a final wine tasting. The plum of Barbian is in the center of the guided plum hike. Unforgettable hike in sunny Barbian through the blossoming plum trees. Meeting place at 10am at the Information Office Barbian. Stop at Oberweger in Kollmann.. Hiking time: 3,5 hours, return at around 4pm, easy-medium hike, good footwear, rain shelter. For members of the Tourist Association Klausen, Barbian, Feldthurns and Villanders the hiking is free, for non-members it costs 8,00€ each. SnowKids 2024! The unique SnowKids („kids week“) organised by the Sulden ski school & cable cars in collaboration with the Ortler holiday region offers a fantastic opportunity for children to learn to ski or improve their skills on the slopes. This special week is designed to offer children a fun and educational experience on the slopes. Experienced ski instructors and supervisors look after the little skiers to help them develop their skills while having fun on the slopes. In addition to skiing, the children can expect a great programme also awaits them off the slopes.

The 37th Bolzano Film Festival Bozen (12 - 21 April 2024) will officially kick off on Friday 12 April 2024 with a screening of the 1919 silent film Blind Husbands by Erich von Stroheim. On the opening evening, at the same time in the three cinemas of the Filmclub, Stroheim's directorial debut film will be screened in a restored and viralised version by the Österreichische Filmmuseum in Vienna and, for the first time in Italy, with live musical accompaniment thanks to the collaboration with the Südtirol Jazz Festival Alto Adige. Dedicated to the mountain guide Sepp Innerkofler, Blind Husbands was filmed at Universal Studios with a backdrop of the Dolomites of Cortina d'Ampezzo and was a great success at the time. Closing the festival on Saturday 21 April will be Linda and the Chicken, a small animated masterpiece directed by Chiara Malta and Sébastien Laudenbach, which won Best Film at the Annecy Animation Festival.

It's spring, nature is awakening and "Lana blossoms" once again from 1 to 30 April 2024. Blossoms and wild herbs once again play a special role in the spring events in Lana and the surrounding area and offer countless opportunities to get to know them better: spring highlights, creative workshops, themed lectures, wild herb hikes and much more are on offer. The Farmers' Mile of Delights in the centre of Lana awaits visitors on Saturday, 6 April with more than 50 South Tyrolean farm stands. The Apple Blossom Golf Tournament on Saturday, 13 April invites you to kick off the golf season with a tee-off and spring menu right on the green. The traditional Blossom Farm Festival on Sunday, 21 April is dedicated to the historic farms and farmsteads, which give the public an insight into farm life and treat them to farmhouse delicacies.

The Ötzi Glacier Tour is an extremely varied one day round tour, which crosses the main chain oft the Alps. It takes place every Tuesday and upon request. The undisputed highlight of this accompanied glacier skitour is the discovery site of Ötzi the Iceman (3,210 m). Starting from Kurzras. From there we will travel by cable car to the Grawand mountain terminal (3,100 m./10,170 ft.), the actual starting point of our tour. From there, we will travel over the Hochjochferner (2,800 m / 9,186 ft.) to the Schwarze Wand and on to the Hauslabjoch (3,280 m./ 10,761 ft.) We will then descend to the Tisenjoch (3,210 m. /10,532 ft.), the site where Ötzi was discovered. After a brief stop, we will ascend to the Hauslabjoch and descend into the Hochjoch Valley and continue down the valley to Kurzras. With suitable snow conditions, the course of the tour may change after the site where Ötzi was discovered: descent past the Similaun Refuge (3,019 m / 9,905 ft.) and through the Tisen Valley to Vernagt am See. Return to Kurzras. Requirements and conditions of participation: change in elevation ↑ approx. 600 m (1,969 ft.), ↓ approx. 2,100 m (6,890 ft.); duration: approx. 7 hours; basic physical condition; good parallel skiing ability (ski tour experience not necessary).

Walther von der Vogelweide, the most important of the German-speaking minnesingers, has left a deep mark not only on literature, but also on Lajen. Thus would Walther von der Vogelweide have probably received us, bidding us “willekomen” to his home of Lajen, which he left in the late 12th century in order to conquer the entire German-speaking world with his songs and poems. Walther was the star minnesinger, the one who knew how to entertain the ladies and gentlemen at court – up to and including numerous crowned heads. As a consummate professional, he knew exactly what his audience wanted to hear, whether it was poems about noble ladies and (not so noble) girls, or works with a more solid content: crown, church, crusades.

"LANA IN BLOOM" – in pots and on plates. That spring is tentatively preparing to make its debut, is noticeable from the first bulbs appearing on the new branches of trees and shrubs, or well-tended pot plants in private gardens, and a wide range of herbs growing in the wild. Nature’s reawakening also fires the creative imagination of the restaurant chefs in and around Lana. Between 1 – 30 April 2023, during the "Lana in Bloom" gourmet weeks, there are abundant reinterpretations of traditional delicacies using seasonal wild herbs and fresh local ingredients. Lana’s annual food festival is supplemented with local D.O.C. certified wines, fastidious attention to detail — and an overall ‘feel-good’ atmosphere.
