    The mountain pasture and its rustic hut are situated at an altitude of 1.980 m. The hut offers homemade South Tyrolean delicacies and is known for the staff's hospitality. You reach the hut from Ponticello over the hiking trail n. 18 (time required: ca. 2 hours) or after a short hike from Prato Piazza. In the winter time the Stolla Alm hut is closed!

    The Madritsch Hut is located in Solda, below the Madritsch Pass in the middle of the mountain world around King Ortles. The hut can be reached via the large Solda panoramic cable car to the mountain station at 2,610 m. The family-friendly hiking trail along the summer pasture of Reinhold Messner's yaks takes you to the Madritsch Hut (2,820 m) in around 1 hour. On the sun terrace you will be enchanted by Tyrolean specialties and the breathtaking mountain scenery. The Madritsch hut, which is typically furnished with wood, was largely rebuilt in 2017 and furnished in a modern style. The kitchen spoils you with traditional South Tyrolean & Italian dishes such as Tyrolean dumplings, Schlutzkrapfen and delicious Kaiserschmarrn. In the Yak Bar, hot chocolate or coffee awaits you and in Europe’s highest igloo, cool beer, Willi afterwards and great après-ski music await you. Enjoy the unique view of the Ortler Group from the sun terrace.

    The Ütia Bioch Refuge 2,079 m boasts a long tradition of Ladin hospitality since 1990. The gastronomic philosophy is based on fresh, local ingredients, emphasising products from the Ladin valleys, with a focus on South Tyrolean wines, thanks to which, in 2020, we were the first hut to be awarded the prized ‘South Tyrolean Wine Culture Award’.     “Buon appetito” from Unterwirt We have placed great importance on the cuisine in our house for generations. Franz Tauber was one of the first wine waiters in Alto Adige. He transmitted his passion for fine cuisine and precious wines to the whole family, which became one of Unterwirt’s strengths. The menu varies from season to season. We regularly have culinary weeks based on various themes: first courses, fish specialities or the cuisine of the Valle Isarco. Autumn is the season of chestnut feasts and novello wine. The special chestnut weeks are a culinary highlight in autumn (end of October) along with the chestnut gala evening in late autumn.

Every day we select about 30 different wines to be tasted and savoured by the glass. We keep our menu intentionally small, so we can guaranty always the freshness of our products and at the same time we can surprise you at every visit with new dishes. We emphasize sustainable breeding and production, this why we try to use mostly local, regional and seasonal ingredients. During summer most of the vegetables come from our own garden, during wintertime we rely on our merchants. We got also best quality meat from our butchers, that keep an eye on animal fond breeding and slaughtering.

At the Brugger-Alm there is an place where you can enjoy the alpine cheese, which is made in summer from the milk of about 70 cows, and hearty South Tyrolean food. Open from mid-May to early October.
