    Legian 998 - Adventure trail
    Lajen/Laion
The new family adventure trail Legian 993 can be reached from the village square or sports field and can be walked comfortably by young and old explorers in about one hour. On the way there are always little surprises that lead you through the history of time. At the beginning you reach a timeline which leads to a small overview of the different epochs. The trail continues to the Stone Age and Bronze Age with wooden tents and animals. Following the path through the forest you come up to the so-called weather cross where the Roman period is located. Here there is a high tower that can be climbed. Further down again through the forest you come to the Middle Ages with a balance course. Arrived at the sound station, you get back to the present by plane and a small climbing tour. This is where the adventure trail ends.

    Farmhouses tour in La Val
La Val, Dolomites Region Alta Badia

The Dolomites, with the mountains of Sas dla Crusc on one side and Pütia on the other one, provide the frame for the expertly and lovingly mown and tended meadows, old barns and farmsteads with the gardens of the 'viles', the traditional rural settlements in the oldest part of La Val. During this simple walk through the old farmsteads of the village, you will feel enveloped by the still living tradition and culture of the village. In addition, on your way you will see the little church of St. Barbara, the symbol of the village, and the bell tower of the old church of La Val.

Along the trail, there are two farmhouses, "Ciablun" and "Lüch de Survisc", where you can stop to savour the authentic and genuine dishes of the Ladin cuisine.

To St. Michael and the "Bärenfalle" (Bear trap)
    Kastelruth/Castelrotto, Dolomites Region Seiser Alm

This hike takes us through wonderful meadow landscapes to the Panidersattel. Here there is a wonderful view of the Grödnertal, the Geislerspitzen and the Sella massif. In addition, there is always a magnificent view of Kastelruth.

In the 1900s, a bear trap which still survives to this day was built on the Panider Sattel/Passo Pinei. To lure the bear into the pit, a sheep or goat was tied to a nearby stake; the pit was covered over with branches or twigs such that, on approaching its prey, the bear would fall into the pit and be unable to escape.
