The Almrosen hut is accessible via trail no. 7 from Compaccio/Compatsch and via the Hans-and-Paula-Steger trail, which also starts in Saltria. The Durnwald restaurant in Colle/Val Casies - Gsieser Tal originated in 1970 from the division of the well-known Keil restaurant. Today it is a typical village inn that is situated in the middle of green areas at the forest edge. The Mayr family will convince you with good plain cooking and the use of fresh, local products. And the extensive wine list leaves nothing to be desired. Closed on Monday.

Every day we select about 30 different wines to be tasted and savoured by the glass. We keep our menu intentionally small, so we can guaranty always the freshness of our products and at the same time we can surprise you at every visit with new dishes. We emphasize sustainable breeding and production, this why we try to use mostly local, regional and seasonal ingredients. During summer most of the vegetables come from our own garden, during wintertime we rely on our merchants. We got also best quality meat from our butchers, that keep an eye on animal fond breeding and slaughtering.
