Hiking on the Mühlenklamm

The hike starts at the church. Behind the Kohlgrube Inn first head right and then left between the houses towards Klamme - trail no. 9a. To begin with head uphill along a narrow path, then shortly afterwards turn left downhill into the Mühlenklamm gorge.
The trail leads through a 30 metre-long tunnel. Next, cross the bridge to the left. Along the Mühlwalderbach stream the climb begins up to the Aussergisserhof and to Schattenbergstrasse. The ascent / descent is steep: In the event of rain or snow, walkers are advised to take care, but the majority of the way is secured with a handrail.
Once you reach the paved Schattenbergstrasse, head left downhill back towards Molini-Mühlen to the starting point.
Variant: On the way back to Molini-Mühlen there is a steep forest track that leads to the right off Schattenbergstrasse up to the high platform. You will reach the platform after approx. half an hour’s walk through the spruce forest. An astonishing view of the Tauferer valley basin is your reward.
