Details
Characteristics
Due to the long distance and the enormous differences in altitude, the Ahrner high trail is only suitable for very well-trained people with an affinity for the mountains.

Best time of year
With regard to the mountain huts, it is very important to find out in advance from the hut keepers whether they are really open and whether there are enough sleeping places available. As a rule, the route is accessible until the end of September, but there may be snow.

Weather
The greatest danger in the mountains is the rapid change in the weather - inform yourself well in advance!
