Winter hike from Oberkirn to Videgg

Schenna/Scena, Meran/Merano and environs

This winter hike is especially suitable for families, as the path is mostly flat. In the mountain hamlet of Videgg, you can enjoy traditional South Tyrolean cuisine, and there’s a short sledding hill by the small church for the little ones.
Itinerary
The hike starts at restaurant Oberkirn and leads you along the paved access road up to Videgg. The path offers a magnificent view of the snowy landscape and invites you to enjoy a cozy winter hike.

Overview
Before setting out on your day excursion, please make sure of the weather and trail conditions.

Winter hiking boots and warm clothes.

Rest stops along the way: Hiaslbauer.
Please check the current opening hours at the tourist office or the Schenna App.
  • Bus line 231 from Merano to Schenna and Verdins (Verdins stop)

Public transport is available only when the Verdins cable car is operating:

  • From December 26th to January 6th, daily from 10 AM to 12 PM and from 1.30 PM to 4.30 PM.

From Merano in the direction of Schenna and on to Oberkirn.
