From the tourist office in Welsberg (1087 m), walk through the houses for a short distance northward to the school centre, from there, constantly following the signposts of the mentioned path, which winds its way partially uphill to Castel Welsperg (1150 m), descend in hairpin bends down the wooded slope to a wide bridge over the “Gsieser Bach” stream (1120 m), past this, return to the old Gsiesertal Valley road in Welsberg. Along the route around the castle, the short ascent to the Thurn ruin is also worthwhile.
