Hiking

Annaweg trail - from Tobl to Ahornach/Acereto

Sand in Taufers/Campo Tures, Ahrntal/Valle Aurina
from center
The cycle of nature: following in the footsteps of the three goddesses of nature in pre-Christian Celtic mythology: Borbeth, Wilbeth and Ambeth. They accompany us throughout the day, the year, our lives. They are there at the start, at the zenith and in the end. They are the source of the farming calendar. Ancient knowledge preserved over millennia.
Itinerary
Route: The flat, shady and refreshing track starts in “Pfeifa Reide”, that is on Reintalstrasse at the Ahornach turn-off, just past the Toblhof. Carved steps invite walkers to immerse themselves in nature, its cycle, its diversity, its effect on humankind. Through sparse woodland, the track climbs gently over pine needles and roots, and past spruces, larches and isolated Scots pines. It also passes by artistically created stopping points in the forest, on the hillside, in the field, near the cherry tree, along the dry stone wall, through the herb tunnel. They awaken the senses and stimulate you to explore everything that lives and then dies. At the highest point just before the end of the track, a brief rest stop under the cherry tree is not to be missed: a panoramic place of power without equal. And at the end of the track - up on high - the little Mooseum is waiting near the Moosmair for you
to visit. This path is walkable all year round.
