The wine walk: from Mazon/Mazzon to Pinzon/Pinzano

Glen/Gleno, Montan/Montagna, Bolzano/Bozen and environs
from center

This walk links two wine villages: Egna and Montagna. Through the village of Mazzon the walk, which snakes through lovely vineyards, leads to Pinzano. This is the home of a fine red wine, Pinot Noir, which finds the perfect growing conditions on these hills and as such is able to express its features in the best possible ways.

Itinerary

The walk begins at the car park in Mazzon. Follow path no. 15 up to the ruins of Caldivo Castle, which protrude on an outcropping of dolomite rock. Then continue up to Pinzano. The circular path continues until path no. 5 above Pinzano and then continues to the right on path no. 5B, which eventually meets path no. 15 again and then leads back to the car park in Mazzon.
