Winter hike old finance barracks – Peteregg – Parish Church of St. Peter/S. Pietro
This short and pleasant winter hike combines peaceful surroundings with a particularly scenic destination above St. Peter/S. Pietro.
The starting point is the old finance barracks bus stop in St. Peter/S. Pietro. From here, follow the quiet road towards Peteregg. The route features a continuous ascent through a calm, snow-covered landscape and offers impressive views of the entire Ahrntal valley.
After a relaxed walk, you reach the Parish Church of St. Peter/S. Pietro, set on a picturesque hillside against an impressive mountain backdrop, providing a memorable end to the hike.
Tip: ideal for a short winter outing or an easy walk. Proper footwear is recommended; microspikes can be helpful in icy conditions.
