This short and easy hike is ideal for a relaxing break in nature and is especially popular with families. The well-maintained path and gentle incline make it easily accessible, even with strollers. Along the way, you are accompanied by beautiful views of the surrounding Rosengarten mountain landscape, while the peaceful and open surroundings invite relaxation. The alpine hut at the destination impresses with its welcoming atmosphere, friendly hosts, and traditional South Tyrolean cuisine – a perfect place to end the hike.
The starting point is located above St. Zyprian in the Runggun area, at bend no. 1 toward Niger Pass. From there, follow trail no. 13, which climbs gently through open, scenic meadows. The landscape is characterized by a charming contrast between wide alpine pastures and the rugged rock faces of the Rosengarten rising behind them. The path is wide and easy to walk, making it suitable for families and strollers. After about 30 minutes, you reach the hut, which is ideal for a relaxing stop.
