The Niederrasen ruins circular hike combines nature, scenic views and history on a varied route above the village. Starting at the cemetery, the trail initially leads towards the Oberstallerhöfe farms before a narrow path branches off to the Altrasen castle ruins.
After visiting the historic ruins, the route continues uphill to farms Obergoste. From there, it leads through the traditional farming landscape and back down to Niederrasen. The hike is particularly suitable for anyone wishing to combine a short walk with a historical highlight.
The starting point is the cemetery in Niederrasen. From there, follow trail no. 20 along the paved road towards the Oberstallerhöfe farms.
After approximately 500 metres, a narrow path branches off to the right towards the Altrasen castle ruins. This trail climbs partly steeply through the forest to the ruins.
From there, continue uphill to farms Obergoste. In the area of the farms, the hiking trail turns downhill and leads back to Niederrasen. Finally, return to the starting point at the cemetery.
