From Weisslahnbad along the Knüppelweg to the Völser Weiher Lake

At the bus stop (1200 m) at the traffic circle, follow the signs for Bärenfalle (trail 2), which soon turns right uphill. At first you walk along a forest path, partly ascending and partly rather flat. You pass the so-called Tschetterloch, cross several streams and reach the rocky valley of the Bärenfalle. The hiking trail now climbs mercilessly through the rocky gorge, made easier by a serpentine route. Finally, you reach a point that is secured with footbridges, wooden steps and ropes. After a further ascent, a viewpoint with a resting bench awaits you and now you have to tackle the final ascent to the Tschafatschsattel (2070 m). There the paths divide and you take number 9, which leads to Sesselschwaige on the right. The trail first descends quite steeply to the Schlernbach stream and then climbs again to the Sesselschwaige (refreshment stop, 1950 m). Past this, the trail now descends through the rocky gorge of the Schlernbach stream. This trail 1 runs partly on wooden beats and partly on pavement consisting of large stones. The path is also very steep in places and should be walked with caution in wet conditions. You reach a fork in the path, path 1 leads (slightly exposed) under the rock faces of the Schlern and then joins a wide hiking trail, on which you continue towards the Tuffalm (refreshment stop). Before reaching the alpine pasture, trail 1 descends to the left and then turns into a forest road, which takes hikers past the Huber pond to the bus stop at the Völser Weiher pond (1050 m).
