Take the Ratschings-Jaufen cable car to the mountain station at approximately 1,800 metres above sea level. From there, follow the Ratschings Alpine Pasture Trail (Ratschinger Almenweg) as far as the Rinneralm mountain hut and continue to the Kalcheralm mountain hut.
Alternatively, starting from the mountain station, the Kalcheralm mountain hut can also be reached via the MountainAdventureWorld. At the end of the route, you arrive at the Rinneralm mountain hut, from where you proceed along the same trail to the Kalcheralm mountain hut.
Note: The route follows gravel tracks throughout and does not include any forest trails. It is therefore well suited to mountain bikes and pushchairs.

The starting point can be reached by bus line 319 (Sterzing/Vipiteno – Ratschings/Racines). Get off at the “Innerratschings, Bichl/Racines di Dentro, Via Colle” stop. Further information on timetables and connections is available at www.suedtirolmobil.info/en.
From Sterzing, continue towards the Ratschingstal valley until reaching the Ratschings-Jaufen cable car in the hamlet of Bichl.
Parking is available at the Ratschings-Jaufen cable car, both above ground and in the underground car park.
