The Mutspitze (2,941 m) in the upper Martelltal is a historic mountain offering spectacular views, which was used as an observation post as far back as the First World War. Today, it delights visitors with an impressive panorama of the Zufritt reservoir and the majestic glacial landscape of the Ortler Group.
Itinerary
The ascent begins at the Hintermartell car park and initially follows a forest track and marked paths to the Marteller Hütte. From there, the route continues across rocky, sometimes steep terrain to the summit of the Mutspitze, which offers an impressive view of the Martelltal valley and the surrounding mountains.
