Am Joch peak: Scenic Hike in Terenten

Start at the Schneeberg parking area, where Forest Trail No. 5 leads you to the Pertinger Alm (refreshments available). From here, continue northward. Once you pass the tree line, the trail follows a gentle ridge to the summit of Am Joch (2,405 m). At the top, you’ll be rewarded with a unique 360° panorama – from the Haunold and Three Peaks in the east, across Monte Cristallo, the Sennes and Fanes Mountains, and Peitlerkofel, all the way to Schlern in the southwest. In the north, the Zillertal Alps shine brightly, while the Dureck and Rieserferner Groups greet you in the northeast.
