The hut is located on the Speikboden at an altitude of 2,400 meters. It is open in summer from approximately the beginning of June to mid-October and in winter from the beginning of December to Easter.
Start: from the cable car mountain station (2000 m). Follow trail no. 27 to the Sonnklar Hut. Duration: approx. 1 ½ hours.
Alternatively: start in Sand in Taufers/Campo Tures. Follow trail no. 27 or 26 to the hut. Duration: approx. 5 hours.
