The hike begins at the mountain station of the Rosskopf cable car. The route initially follows trail no. 23 to the left, almost reaching the Kuhalm mountain hut. From here, the high-alpine trail “Ridnauner Höhenweg” branches off, leading to the Ochsenalm mountain hut and continuing beneath the peaks of Telfer Weißen.
Continue following the signposts for the high-alpine trail, passing the Seeberalm mountain hut, Seeberseelake and the Prischeralm mountain hut. The descent follows trail no. 27 down to Maiern in the Ridnauntal valley. You can travel back to the starting point by public transport.

The “Sterzing, Busbahnhof/Vipiteno, Autostazione” bus stop is located around five minutes on foot from the Rosskopf cable car valley station. From there, buses run to the Ridnauntal, Ratschingstal and the Jaufental valleys. Further information on timetables and connections is available at www.suedtirolmobil.info/en.
The Rosskopf cable car is located north of Sterzing, on the road towards the Brennerpass.
Parking is available at the Rosskopf cable car valley station.
