A particularly quaint fountain is located in the garden of the Finsterwirt inn in Domgasse alley. It was fashioned from an old barley husking machine. The container, carved from a single large granite boulder, in which the barley grains were squished by two rotating grinding stones and thus freed from their hard husks and peels, today serves as the fountain basin, with the two grinding stones forming the fountain column.
